Doubt about Rayman M (2 CD)

Good morning everyone. I wanted to ask about Rayman M for PC (the 2 CD version).
Since I've never had that version i was wondering if the CD 1 is just for installing and the second is for playing or do you start with the CD 1 and then the game requires at some level of completion to insert the CD 2?

During installation you need to swap from CD1 to CD2.
To play the game I think you need to have CD2 in the drive. And even that is for copy protection purposes only, AFAIK - the installer copies all the vital files to the hard drive.
