Happy twenty-first birthday, Pirate-Community!
It feels as though it was yesterday that Pirate-Community celebrated two decades of existence, and yet, here we are as our wonderful crew sails into its 21st birthday already!
This past year has not disappointed in terms of Rayman goodness, with the release of the much-anticipated DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope featuring the limbless hero, Rayman in the Phantom Show. Rayman's appearance in Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix was also welcomed by many as a refreshing if unorthodox take on this iconic character. Moreover, the announcement of Rayman: The Board Game, currently being developed by FLYOS, has us all eager to roll the dice and embark on new tabletop adventures.
However, official content is only the tip of the iceberg! Our community's creative spirit continues to shine brightly, with the second edition of Rayman Alive showcasing an array of impressive fangames, demonstrating the boundless talent within our ranks. A notable release this year was Rayman Expert, a modified version of the original game for those who crave a true test of their platforming skills. Expect devious level design, relentless enemies, and precision platforming that will push you to your limits!
Such talent and creativity are quite outstanding, and what better way to celebrate it—besides playing the games, of course—than to document it as thoroughly and extensively as possible? Enter Rayfanpedia, the wiki for Rayman fanworks, launched less than eight months ago and already boasting 169 articles about a wide array of fan games. Whether you're looking to read about those great projects or to write about your own, Rayfanpedia is the place for this!
Other notable events include SpeedRay 2024, the fourth edition of our annual speedrunning contest, which brought a fresh challenge with Rayman 2 and showcased the incredible skill of our speedrunners. Additionally, the unearthing of 68 prototypes of Rayman 3 for the Game Boy Advance, complete with extensive documentation, offered a fascinating glimpse into the development of a game originally meant to be an adaptation of Rayman 2.
Our community's dedication is reflected in the numbers: 23,125 messages were posted on the forum, adding to a total of 1,394,596: a testament to the lively discussions and shared insights that make our community so special! That's the most since 2019, and a pleasant reversal of the downwards trend endured by online forums across the board. RayWiki also saw healthy growth, with 177 new articles since last year, bringing the total to 6,282 across 8 languages and strengthening it in its mission to ensure that Rayman knowledge is accessible to fans worldwide.
As we mark this 21st birthday, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every member of Pirate-Community. Your passion, creativity, and unwavering support have shaped this community into the incredible space it is today. Here's to another year of shared adventures, exciting discoveries, and boundless enthusiasm for the world of Rayman.
Long live Rayman, long live Pirate-Community!

Happy Birthday to RaymanPC, which in the US, that means it's old enough to start drinking.

Well you're not wrong about that, seeing younger members who love Rayman as much as we do is invigorating.
