My take on Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition's soundtrack

Post by FanzotheBanzo »

I've came out of my humble abode to share my thoughts on the soundtrack made for the 30th anniversary edition of Rayman.

While these songs are quite decent to listen to, but I've gotta say that they could fit into Pheonix Interactive's axed reimagining of the vanilla game (codenamed: Rayman 4), because I was imagining the soundtrack playing in the background, while playing the game in an alternate universe where it wasn't cancelled by Ubisoft and it's also because of the art direction of Rayman 4.

It's interesting, isn't it?

I can totally see where your coming from with that. The new ost does try its best to capture the magic of the original which would have been the vibes for Phoenix Interactive Rayman 4. The new picture city ost fits very well with Rayman 4 concept art.

I had a similar thought process but instead of Rayman 4 it had me thinking of the cancelled original 2D Rayman 2. Especially the ambient tracks. It felt quite surreal to imagine, a glimpse into an alternate reality.
