British vs US comedies
With the current reveal of the "inbetweeners USA" I think it would be cool to see what comedies you guys like and which side of the pond you think does it best

I enjoy both British and some american humour.
I've heard most american's don't understand British humour, which I don't really understand.

Yeah apparently its too dry or something, I personally prefer British, I often find American comedies abit dumbed down for my likingAcarr wrote:I enjoy both British and some american humour.

Re: British vs US comedies
In regards to media, I rarely watch TV anymore, period. The only American comedies I watch are the animated sitcoms like The Simpsons, Family Guy, etc, and I watch basically every single one. The live-action American sitcoms/comedy films (How I Met Your Mother, Friends, etc) do nothing for me, and I feel the humour flying right under my feet. I've watched a few British comedies, and it suits myself much better, though I still never got hooked onto anything for too long.

Im pretty much the same, however simpsons and family guy have got pretty stale these days, south park and futurama are still pretty goodRayFan9876 wrote:In regards to media, I rarely watch TV anymore, period. Re: British vs US comedies
The Inbetweeners was one of my favourite shows and one of the few british comedies I like. I just prefer the more energetic American sitcoms generally, both live-action and animated. Can't think of many British shows that I watch actually, except comedy panel shows like Never Mind The Buzzcocks which are hilarious!

British comedy is superior in my opinion. I don't strongly dislike American comedies, though.

I don’t get live-action American sitcoms at all. They just feel wrong. So do the American news channels.

That Mitchell and Webb Look is bloody brilliant, though it isn't really a comedy.
I like just about anything from Rowan Atkinson as well.

I remember to watch a British comedy program from BBC, I think it was called "Family". The episode I randomly catched up made me have a good laugh.
