RO & RL

I believe the spiky birds and fish from RO & RL should have their own articles. They look like spiky balls and serve the same purpose, but they're distinct creatures. — 12:59, 27 August 2014 (CEST)

I agree with that. They only have the same functionality as spiky balls but they aren't one. --Haruka 21:48, 27 August 2014 (CEST)
- The sprites files of RO and RL call them "spiky balls" (apart the pink ones, called "spiky fishes").
- As you said, their appearance and functionalities are mostly the same as in R1, R3 GBA...
I think they aren't different creatures, and disagree with another article. It would be like separate Antitoons and Darktoons. -- Boomboleros7 22:42, 27 August 2014 (CEST)
Hmm, this article is pretty bare about them in general in regards to RO and RL, is it really worth splitting it up? -- 01:13, 28 August 2014 (CEST)
Master, I believe that's an irrelevant consideration; because the article does not contain enough information about them at the moment doesn't mean we shouldn't expand this later. The only question is whether those things are the same, and I believe that there's much more of a difference between the spiky balls from R1 and the spiky birds and fish from RO than between Antitoons and Darktoons. Spiky balls from R1 seem to be metallic obstacles, and they also appear in the GBC colors. However, I don't think they have anything in common with the urchin-like creatures in R3 GBA, save for their purpose. Same for RO, where we have spiky birds in the desert (along with other types of birds) and spiky fish in the ocean (along with other types of fish). They're clearly urchins, birds and fish, not metallic obstacles. And while I'll agree that the name of the sprite files complicate the matter, because they serve the same function doesn't mean they're the same creatures. Darktoons, on the other hand, appear as strongly redesigned Antitoons, but not urchins, birds, fish or any other species, do they? — 15:20, 1 September 2014 (CEST)
I see your point... So, you think we should create the articles Urchin, Spiky bird and Spiky fish, and precise on those new pages that their appearance and behavior are based on the spiky balls from R1? -- Boomboleros7 00:05, 2 September 2014 (CEST)
