About

There's not a whole lot to say about myself. I slip in an out of interest in Rayman, but when I do I have a strong adoration of Rayman 1 and its educational spinoffs. I'm not one of those nostalgic types, I just really like the worlds and characters for some reason. It's something I can't really explain. As for other Rayman games, I actually started out with Rayman 3 for GBA. My Mum just bought it for me one day with a bunch of other random cartridges on eBay and was like "Hey kid, play these". My next Rayman game was Rayman Advance which, oddly enough, I found bizarrely cheerful and creepy in its art style and characters in comparison to Rayman 3. But now look where I've ended up. Can science explain that?

I did end up playing Rayman 2 at some point in late 2013. I had owned the game for over a year if I recall correctly, but was unable to play it on my laptop until a kind fellow on the Rayman Pirate-Community forum offered me a patch that fixed the problem. I finished the game in about four days and never played it again. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, though, I just took an indefinite break after defeating mean ol' Razorbeard. I really should go back and try to get 100%. Anyway, back to Rayman 1. With THEdragon, it's always back to Rayman 1. The Musician is my favourite character. He doesn't do much and might probably be dead now maybe, but if THEdragon wasn't around to be a fan of the Musician, who would be? You?

I like to draw pictures of Rayman 1 characters. I believe I am fairly good at that now. I also like to write fanfictions about Rayman 1 characters, which I believe I am also fairly good at, but two thirds of mine are unfinished and a lot of them are actually pretty depressing. I also have an extensive list of Rayman 1 headcanons. Original Rayman did leave a lot unanswered, but that left plenty of space for headcanons. In my opinion, the educational spinoffs did expand on the ways of The Valley and its people significantly, which is something I like a lot.

Anyway, did I mention Rayman 1? Maybe. I probably love that game more on a creative level than on a gameplay level. I'm not even that great at it, really, I only completed it because I used the 99 lives cheat and some help from the incredibly useful Raywiki to find those cages. In fact, I didn't even play Rayman. Rayman played me. I wasn't freeing electoons, I was the collective population of electoons, waiting to once again become one with the Great Protoon, which was myself at a spiritual level. I had to rescue myself from Mr Dark. But Mr Dark did not exist, I was Mr Dark, stealing myself, but I did not exist. Anyway, you're probably wondering about the rest of my gaming history and what Rayman games and merchandise I own. I don't think that's entirely interesting for me to talk about. like I said, there's not a whole lot to say about myself.
