As you play the level of the summit beyond the clouds where the hoodloon is seen, you can see that the hoodloon is not wearing a metal helmet and different colours to that of the Kagouflap. so could the two picturs be switched? | As you play the level of the summit beyond the clouds where the hoodloon is seen, you can see that the hoodloon is not wearing a metal helmet and different colours to that of the Kagouflap. so could the two picturs be switched? Sansebas

::Yes, I believe the one with the metal helmet is the Kagouflap, a scrapped enemy which was a bit different than the Kagustick (Hoodloon). —Spiraldoor 14:38, 8 January 2011 (UTC) | ::Yes, I believe the one with the metal helmet is the Kagouflap, a scrapped enemy which was a bit different than the Kagustick (Hoodloon). —Spiraldoor 14:38, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
I merged the former 'Kagouflap' article with this one. The text concerning this Hoodlum had been misinterpreted, and was actually slightly wrong. The Kagouflap was not entirely scrapped, it was almost cut as there's still one in the Summit, but it doesn't attack Rayman anymore. The other flying enemy, the Kagustic, is no more than the Hoodstormer under his old name, which was obviously retained. This document also describes the artwork we used on the 'Kagouflap' page as a Flapoteur. — 16:25, 4 April 2014 (CEST)
::Conclusion, so the Hoodloon is the Hoodlum we see briefly in the Summit is also known as Kagouflap, right? And Kagustic is the prototype name of the Hoodstormer? Also, I know it isn't quite related but I notice there's that scrapped blue bird from the Xowar chamber, and in the text of the casting there's "Glutes". Can we have an extra evidence then? --Haruka 14:13, 5 April 2014 (CEST)
:::Yes, that's it. As for the glute, I already mentioned this here five and half years ago. Haven't really changed my mind since then. — 19:07, 5 April 2014 (CEST)

::::: Unfortunately, this isn't helping much. I suggest as many of us as possible replay the level and try to get that red circle and hit the hoodloon. ::::::I'll take pictures to see if it's possible. UPDATE: I've aimed at the Hoodloon carrying the Hoodmonger Officer, and the red circle appears around both of them at once but only gives the info on the Officer. I haven't yet figured out if you can hit him or not, but I'll check again later.--iHeckler9 09:37, 22 March 2012 (CET) | ::::::I'll take pictures to see if it's possible. :::::::Very interesting! I didn't even know it was possible to aim at two enemies at the same time... Is it still possible to aim at the Hoodloon once he has dropped the Hoodmonger? And yeah, whether it can be hit is extremely important, second only to how much damage it may take to defeat it. :) — 17:33, 2 April 2012 (CEST)
::::::::My theory is that there's only one ring around the Officer, and the Hoodloon just happens to be caught in it. I think it's impossible to aim at the Hoodloon when there's no Hoodlum there because there's one flying under the bridge long after the others are dead that can't be killed. Perhaps you can only hit him with a Hoodlum in its mouth, although, I locked onto them and the Officer was holding on to the Hoodloon with one hand, the same position when one grabs a balloon and floats down. Recently, without paying much attention, I shot the Officer as he was still floating down from the balloon and he expanded, probably full of helium or something, and floated away. I think it was a 1-hit kill, and this might also be the case for the Hoodloon. --iHeckler9 17:57, 2 April 2012 (CEST)
:::::::::Wait, I misunderstood your reply. If there was only one red circle, then it probably was the Officer's. Is it possible to hit the Hoodloon in this state, when he is still holding the Officer? Also, you said it was impossible to hit the Hoodloon once he's dropped the Officer, right? How close were you? — 16:53, 3 April 2012 (CEST)
::::::::::I don't know if you can hit him while he's holding a Hoodlum, but I'll definitely try. There are two Hoodloons, one that swoops in from the opening cutscene and one that lifts the Officer in after that. It's impossible to hit the first one from under the bridge (all he does is flap about under the bridge in a circle) and when you're on top of the bridge you can occasionally see him flying through some of the wood, but you can't kick him like you usually can when a Hoodlum's close to Rayman. So it looks like the only way you can attack them is when they're carrying someone. EDIT: From what I've done it's not only really annoying to hit, but it may be impossible. I tried shooting the one that carried the Officer in, but it kept dropping him right before I punched him. Perhaps we will never know, or they're just invincible. --iHeckler9 14:02, 4 April 2012 (CEST)
:::::::::::Do you mean that Rayman's fist just passes through the Hoodloon when you shoot at it, or that he's too quick to reach him with your fist? In any case, the fact that there is no red circle makes it kinda obvious to me that it cannot be hit. — 11:21, 5 April 2012 (CEST)
::::::::::::For your first statement, the one under the bridge is impossible to hit, your fist passes through it. For your second point, the one carrying the Officer is too quick. --iHeckler9 11:41, 5 April 2012 (CEST)

:::::::::::::::Or is it? I tried hitting it with the normal fist; before the cutscene where the Hoodloon appears, I zoomed in and saw one flying against a cloud. If we could hit it BEFORE it appears canonically, we might be able to destroy it. I propose using Cheat Engine with a Shock Rocket to try and hit it. (We could also try hitting the Lavomatrixes with a Shock Rocket to see the damage dealt by it.) --iHeckler9 21:00, 26 June 2012 (CEST)
::::::::::::::::Some enemies, such as Begoniax, cannot be hit with a Shock Rocket, despite being vulnerable to regular attacks. We could always try, but that would be useless, since the Shock Rocket inflicts 76 damage, which would immediately defeat any standard Hoodlum. The same goes for the Lavomatrix, not to mention that it's even more useless since we already know its number of hit points. — 11:15, 4 July 2012 (CEST)
