The game was announced on August 6 2024 on the website edenonline.ubisoft.com, and set for release at the end of August 2024, starting in a private beta with 10,000 seats available.

The closed beta was available from 19th August to 1st September, lasting two weeks to gather feedback from selected players.
There were two ways of getting into the beta: getting selected after signing up for it and using the codes Ubisoft were giving away to the public.
