== My History with Rayman ==

I first played [[Rayman 1 (GBA)]] and [[Rayman 3 (GBA)]] on my Nintendo DS lite when I was four or five years old. I believe I couldn't get past the [[Blue Mountains]] in R1 but could defeat [[Grolgoth]] in R3GBA back then.

In 2016, I first got introduced to the Rayman community by stumbling upon a Twitch Stream by Thextera. I installed R1 on DOSbox and first beat the game then.

In 2017, I joined the Speedrunning Community and started to learn the speedrun for Rayman 1 (PC). After getting an okay run of a sub 1:30, I switched to the more popular PS1 version and started to stream my attempts too. After taking breaks here and there, I finally managed to achieve a sub 1:20 in 2020.

Right after, I started to grind for the first ever [https://youtu.be/21-YGEvWkwI?si=FSb_D6jbJVXi5paG No Hit Run of the PS1 version]. Due to Mr. R already achieving such a run on the PC version two years prior and the support of the community on Twitch, I was able to achieve that goal in late 2020 :)

I also beat [[Rayman 2]], [[Rayman 3]], [[Rayman Legends]] and [https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/List_of_notable_Rayman_fangames Rayman Redemption] (a fangame by Ryemanni) casually somewhere down the line and enjoyed all of these games.

So I guess it's now time to wait for [[Rayman 4]]. Right, [[Murfy]]?
