Although it is set on the Buccanneer, this level is handled as a different level to The Prison Ship, possibly because the designers felt that it would be too hard if The Prison Ship led directly into this fight, and also perhaps that players would want to be able to instantly return to the last battle, rather than play all the way through an entire level just to get to it.
