A Rabbid is a rabbit-like creature in the Rayman universe. The name is a mix of 'rabid' and 'rabbit', though in-game they are often refered to as Bunnies. They are the latest race of creatures to star in a new spin-off of the Rayman series called Rayman Raving Rabbids.

Appearance

General Rabbids very much resemble albino rabbits - they are white with furless mouths and bellies and have dark blue eyes which turn red when crazed, but they have no noses. They are known to have loads of costumes spoofing fictional characters or everyday life.

Personality

Rabbids are most known for their personality. They are 100% insane. They do completely stupid things like disguise as themselves, try using tennis rackets to play soccer and destory a town with burp. Their favorite word is 'BWAAAH!', although in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for the Wii this seems to have been changed with 'Yeah!'.

Types of Rabbids

Serguei: He is supposedly the leader of the Rabbids. He is big with huge muscles and black fur. He guards Rayman's cell in the console versions of Rayman Raving Rabbids and apparently is smellier than any other Rabbid. He has made no other appearance apart from the American cover of Rayman Raving Rabbids 2.

Normal Rabbid: These are the most common Rabbids. They are just white with no suits.

Sam Fisher Bunny: Dressed like Sam Fisher. They are very good at dodging projectiles.

Gladiator Bunny: Their armor protects them very well against attacks, but pieces of it will fall out each time it is hit.

Indian Bunny: They are very weak, and are sometimes seen camping when Rayman lands and intrudes there.

Trivia

  • The Rabbids have had quite a few merchandise of their own. They have had many shirts, four figurines (Rabbinho, Rabbmoo, Rabbmaid and Raving Cook), a Bunny Gonzales figurine (with Rayman sitting on it) and a Wererabbid plushie (which had a normal Rabbid on one side and the Wererabbid on the other).
  • The Rabbids got their own cookies on 7th March 2007, as seen on RaymanZone.
  • The Rabbids are so popular Ubisoft have suggested they might split Rayman and the Rabbids so the Rabbids get a series of their own.
