The dash is an ability first introduced in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and then in its sequel, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It is notably usable by Rayman, Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario in Rayman in the Phantom Show, the third DLC of the latter game.

Gameplay

Dashes are a melee attack which can be used by all heroes in Rayman in the Phantom Show. They are targeted at a single enemy, and inflict contact damage to them. If other enemies are very close to the target, they will be damaged too. This notably allows for groups of Goombas to be defeated in one dash.

Dashes send enemies up in the air and therefore activate abilities triggered by enemy movement such as Rayman's Plunger Guards. Without upgrades, heroes can only perform one dash per turn. Dashes do not count as one of the two actions that can be performed during a hero's turn.

Several upgrades are available for the dash in the heroes' skill trees. The damage inflicted by Rayman's dash can be increased by 60%, while Rabbid Peach can be allowed to perform as many as three dashes per turn. Rabbid Mario has access to two upgrades, one that increases the numbers of dashes he can perform in a turn from one to two dashes, and one which gives his dashes an area of effect, damaging all enemies in range.

Some Sparks can be used to further enhance the power of dashes, but they are only available to Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario. Those are Vampdash, Aquadash, Electrodash, Zephyrdash and Cryodash, who increase the damage dealt by the heroes' dashes, and power them up with additional effects. While Vampdash allows them to heal by 30% of the damage inflicted by dashing, Aquadash, Electrodash, Zephyrdash and Cryodash respectively allow dashes to cause the Splash, Shock, Gust and Frostbite super effects.

A few enemies, specifically Goombas, Armored Goombas and Sea Stooges, can also perform dashes against the heroes.
