The Sanctuary of Rock and Lava is a level in Rayman 2: The Great Escape. It is the last of the sanctuaries to bear one of the Four Masks of Polokus, which is actually beneath the sanctuary, and is the second one to be filled with lava.

Description

This sanctuary is located deep in the marshlands, and inside the temple are steams of lava and thickets of thorns. Rayman can avoid these by standing on floating umbrella plants (similar to the flower platforms from the previous Rayman game) which carry him though the thorny pits, but eventually either wither away or get burned.

The level continues as a seperate level set beneath the sanctuary, where the Lava mask is really hidden.
