Illegal copy of Wikipedia article
Hi there! I noticed that you copied part of the Rayman article on Wikipedia under the "List of characters in the Rayman series" article here. This is actually illegal as RayWiki is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0, a noncommercial license, while Wikipedia uses CC BY-SA 4.0, which requires copied content to be licensed under the same terms, or a compatible license, something that CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 is not.
Moreover, I'm not sure I understand the value of such an article here, since its goal on Wikipedia is essentially to provide short descriptions for characters that do not warrant a full-blown article there, but on RayWiki they are all notable enough to have their own articles.
Regardless, I must delete the article due its illegal nature. Thank you for your understanding. — 17:35, 8 November 2023 (CET)
- Actually, I created that part on Wikipedia, as you can see by the IP address, so I rewrote a similar copy on this wiki but with various differences, not the same, so I wouldn't say it was illegal. But that's my opinion, at least. Anyway, as I said, it's not a real exact copy of what I wrote on Wikipedia, you can see they have differences, both little and significant, in the content. Well, first of all I wanted to create a page on this wiki myself since I never had the chance to do it, and since I already created that section on Wikipedia before, I decided to transform that section in a page here myself but with differences so to not engage in that same kind of problem you brought to my attention.
