They actually had some huge banner ads on Youtube this week, and I've seen smaller ads on a handful of other sites too. Hopefully the sales kick up A) Over Christmas, and B) Once the 3DS and Vita versions drop (especially since the Vita and 3DS will have fairly small libraries at launch).

Good news for folks with the Pirate's Treasure glitch - sometimes it solves itself! I just gave it another shot after unlocking all 9 of the other teeth, and it worked just fine this time. It took about 6 goes to get right to the end of the level, and the first time I did it all unfolded...

Ain't that the truth. My regular sitting position is about 4m back from my TV, but I'm finding myself about 1m away (on a beanbag) during most of my Rayman Origins playtime :D I also have to put my hand up as one of the foolish people who chose Globox-Rayman shortly before the second iteration...

This is completely unrelated to the ongoing conversation, but how common are the blue boxing-gloves? I'm about halfway through the second Gourmand Land area (the one that opens up after completing Mystique Pique) and I've only just found one for the first time.

I gave this a shot, and it's actually pretty difficult. The way the flames on the poles are setup forces you to move in a certain pattern, which inevitably puts you on the left pole when the screen scrolls. I think I managed to stay on the right pole a few times, but the screen scroll just kills...

Original Rayman was the first character I played that area as, and I totaled maybe 15 or 20 attempts by the time I gave up. I've tried a few other characters since, with no change, sadly.

If there's a patch available for a PS3 game, the console will alert you every time you put the game disc in. I'm guessing the 360 has a similar setup. I've heard that a few wii games have been patched in the past, so it's possible in any case.
