Honestly, my biggest gripe with Rayman 3 HD was that they ruined the Razorbeard room in Hoodlum Headquarters.

The Wiki says that the mystery of the big red guitar-playing character in the Tomb of the Ancients secret area was solved in 2020, that 'Jeff' said it was meant to be him. Does anyone have a link to him saying this or a thread from when this was discovered? I've always been intrigued by that, so...

PS1 version is probably the worst of the original versions (before DS and iOS) as it's missing so many levels and other things compared to the others. Yes, it adds some cool exclusives like Antitoons and Ninjaws, but the only major benefit of this version is the unlockable prototype level. Still...

On the GOG version, is there a way to use the D-pad of a controller rather than analog stick? I keep having trouble with the analog stick suddenly not moving me in a certain direction, and D-pad makes more sense for 2D platformers.

The one difference I like so far is the PC version’s Bongo Hills intro. It’s a small addition but a nice transition from the forest landscape into Band Land.

I’ve just started Rayman Designer. I’ve created a level in Mapper and saved it, but when I open Designer it’s not there. I go to Other Maps and try to press left/right as well as selecting it. But my map doesn’t come up. Anyone know what im doing wrong?

I just got the PC version from GOG and was literally thinking this. As I’ve always played the PS1 version (and GBA) I was surprised at how many of these differences there are between versions. I can’t adjust to the different ting sound. the PS1 sound is just perfect. And yes I was bummed about...

That’s cool. It’s odd that they left the big red guy there but the Teensie and baby Globoxes are gone. I would love to know the full story behind that area from the developers, and if that really is Clark, what his early design looked like.

Would anyone recommend the GOG.com release? I read that there was some issues with it, but not sure if those have been fixed or what. I’ve always wanted Rayman Designer, and I’d also like to play the PC version since I have R1 on ps1.

I was really horrified when playing the HD port and found what Razorbeard and the Robo-Pirates looked like. The developers must’ve forgotten about them or not cared enough. What an absolute mess!

Has anyone tried to reach the Tomb of the Ancients secret in the PS2 version? I see the hole is still up there even if there’s no code to make the box appear. If we could get there with a levitation/moonjump code, I wonder if there’d still be anything to see?

Man, I’m glad I finally got an answer nearly a decade later. :D However as we discussed before, it seems it was changed in the Platinum version’s manual to ‘Rayman’s world’ oddly.
