Congratulations to all the participants, it was really fun to take part in this and have so many Rayman speedrunners gathered for the same event ! And what a breathtaking finale with Enigma going all out with that WR run to try to catch up !

It's a pun with damage boost, which is the trick involving getting hit in midair to get extra height (here used to skip the cage and the purple lum in the first map), and the name of the level. Damage boost + Bayou = damage bayoust. Strat names can get ...

This year's challenge was quite special for me. When previous years it was usually something I had already done, or so similar that I could pretty much come up with a route just by reading the goal ...

I wonder how many level parts are like DOTK6 and are played the same for Any% and NMG.


There's 10, and DOTK6 actually isn't one of them. On GameCube we do a CBSJ, but since PC doesn't have them I guess the damage boost is the option with the best speed/consistency ratio. You could probably do ...

I have no plan nor motivation to do it again just to do it faster, and it's not like a whole lot of time could be saved, probably just a few minutes, which is not enough for me to go through this again. I'm happy with just the completed run, that already took long enough !

It's not something I kept track of, but I can tell that after doing attempts for a while I could get out of the 1st hour of the run (so basically up to DOTK) most of the time, with just Razoff wrecking ball phase and Céloche still being issues at times.
