Re: Tonic Trouble (Retail) AI Upscaled Texture Pack
I apologize for not saying this earlier but I silently took down all of my AI upscaled texture packs from GitHub because my views on generative AI have changed since I originally released those projects. I personally hate the look of AI upscaled content and think it ruins the original artists intent ...

Unfortunately I lost the original files for that patch but if I were to restart development on a widescreen patch I would do the exe method.gordonfreeman wrote: Sat Oct 18, 2025 3:37 pm Would you consider releasing that fix as currently there's no generally available alternative?

Re: How to get Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers/Quack Attack working on your PC!
Was the camera culling fixed yet? The sides have disappearing objects & geometry with the widescreen changes sadly... I've tried investigating the game myself and found the code for HFOV and VFOV, but couldn't find anything for the culling issue.
I did mange to fix the culling issues by editing ...

Re: Rayman 2 PC Widescreen Patch (16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, ..) | PC 32 bit depth fix | + widescreen for DC, PSX, PS2
I wonder how the FOV is changed in this patch. Is it by editing the fix.sna file? If so, I recently found a way to change the FOV directly in the EXE, without the need to edit any SNA files. It also scales every FOV value in the game with the new aspect ratio and does not need to be done ...

Re: Batman Vengeance Widescreen
Managed to find the instruction that accesses horizontal FOV and redirected it to another offset address using OllyDbg, HxD and Cheat Engine. However, widening it to accomodate for 16:9 introduces a little clipping issues at the sides. Will try to resolve it soon.

Re: Alex Builds His Farm & Laura's Happy Adventures Widescreen
I found something that I don't know if it's an issue of the game, but when the FOV is high (like in 48:9), the heads of characters get squished instead of stretched as they should at the sides, it's a small thing but just wanted to point it out. Happens with both your new and old solutions, it's ...

Re: Alex Builds His Farm & Laura's Happy Adventures Widescreen
Nice findings lk19! Glad to know you're still making these widescreen patches! This reminded me of my widescreen patch for Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers that I forgot about, maybe I might try to finish it up in the future. If anyone's interested here's the link to the video of what it looks like ...

Re: Rayman 2 looks better when using Glide than DirectX6???
Have you also tried advanced settings of DX6 renderer? The menu is accessible when right-clicking on the title bar.
Some of the following was fixing some culling issues on textures, but can't remember if only when HD Tex mod was used:
I tried tinkering with the advanced DirectX6 settings but ...

Re: Rayman 2 looks better when using Glide than DirectX6???
To be honest, I can't notice any difference at all. I don't see lighting popping in and out on textures in either video. Maybe my eyes are just not good enough XD
So DirectX6 and Glide are 3D graphics API, right? The same kind of thing as opengl? I'd really like to learn more about it and why it ...

Rayman 2 looks better when using Glide than DirectX6???
Yes you read the title correctly, Rayman 2 looks better when using Glide, let me explain:
I recently started playing Rayman 2 again (as a Rayman fan normally does) and noticed something strange. I saw that the lighting on textures was popping in and out and not smooth at all. I was confused since I ...

Re: Tonic Trouble Alt+Tab?
As far as I'm aware I don't think there's a way to switch to windowed mode when you're already in fullscreen. You could try pressing the Win key to try to access another window but sometimes that will cause the game to crash when you refocus it's window.

Re: How to get Tonic Trouble (Retail) working on your PC!
Hello, i'm having the problem where the game closes when it reaches the ubisoft logo. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, clearing the temp files, using the isos in the thread, and installing the patch with the Rayman control panel. Not sure if its windows 11 thats causing issues or not ...

Wow thank you for doing this! I tested the German version before and had no issues with my patch, but your updates are much appreciated. Just glad to know there are still people who care about this game lol.

Hello from Mindanao Philippines! I wanted desperately to install this game to my Windows 10 PC for my grandchild, but I failed. I did everything as per your instructions. But when I run Setup.exe, and I click Install now, all I get is: Choose setup language [I choose English (United Kingdom)] Then ...

Wow sorry for not responding I forgot about this topic. With dgVoodoo try to limit your HZ to 60. Any HZ over 60 will cause the game to speedup.

Could you provide a recording the milkshake issue if you could recreate it? I am very interested as I don't think I've heard of it before. Playing the game at 60 FPS in my experience had no glitches like that.

Re: How to get Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers/Quack Attack working on your PC!
The FPS patch shouldn't break anything, all it does is prevent the game from capping to 30 FPS. The FPS patch is also included in my compatibility patch. The game was programmed to run at 60 FPS but without the patch it sometimes caps to 30 FPS for no apparent reason. The exact same thing also ...

Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast AI Upscaled Texture Pack
The textures pack extract to a double folder called 17707N.
Is that correct? Should the install path be
flycast\data\textures\17707N\17707N ?
I also tried flycast\data\textures\17707N\
But there is no confirmation of the texture pack being loaded.
Are there some screenshot comparisons maybe ...
