That's poor, they should have really picked their slot better, even if visibility was poor

What a dumb butt :? I understand wanting to get out of a jam, particularly if you're in the wrong lane as well, but it's a fucking autobahn of all things!

Heh, you don't have to be a driver to know there are some right pillocks out there, there's one corner I daren't cross until there's absolutely no cars nearby because there's a countless amount of idgits who are incapable of pushing one simple lever to kindly indicate their intention to turn, so I don't accidentally step forward and get a nice startling.

I can't wait to start driving again. I had to stop before I could pass my test due to finances. It was a real pain in the arse. But hopefully sometime next year it looks like I'll be able to start driving again. I can't imagine I've lost too much of my skills! The test is A LOT easier then it used to be :o

I hate driving. I got my driver's license as soon as I could because my parents wanted me to, and I haven't driven since.

If anyone is interested and doesn't partake in the Pluses and minuses of the see day topic to see my link, I will post it here. Pretty much I just took every chapter of the "Add a word to the story" Topic and put it on this website. http://addaword.webs.com/apps/blog/ Took forever, but it's quite funny to see what you people have come up with. And sorry for using webs, I didn't have the time to put it onto an actual server, let alone the money for a static IP address and domain name.

I can get you a free hosting with a free domain name, and install a free (WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, etc.) blog for you. ;)

You should get a Gee Wizz. Even with congestion charges, driving a little electric car must be far cheaper than using that Oyster nonsense!

In a 90-minute training drive session with my mum in town, we managed to run into several code disrespects, and a motorcycle trying to pass cars waiting for oen to turn behind me while I was going forward. The guy probably thought it would be okay, but even if you already drove up to 100 hours, you do'nt feel like you are a good driver yet and it freaks you out.

Some people do'nt drive well and just pass the exam buz' they were able to pass it when it mattered (with barely 20 out of 31 so they barely passed it). Some just lost the habit of paying attention to everything and/or got lazy about sereral key aspects. They are not bad drivers at the beginning but still ended up being as dangerous as the previous ones.

Sure, it's fucknig boring to pay so much money each time I'm failing to pass the exam (I've alreafy failed twice, but I'm really close to getting it now), but in the end I prefer to do so, so I can focus a bit more on driving and doing the right things. At least I will be able to consider myself a good driver (and fuck failing because of touching a car at 1km/h while trying to park, it's actually why I didn't get the last one. I don't handle stress that well for the exam, I don't know why. I usually react well to dangerous situations because I'm relaxed at the beginning).

In France, the govenment is placing speed humps everywhere they guess people are not respecting speed limits. They are growing up like mushrooms everywhere. It's normal when I'm feeling the new road surface they are putting right now is actually worse than the previous one in terms of adhesion of tires.

Same here, finally. It was getting very hard. Adding the fact it was also getting really expensive, trying to obtain your driving license costs you at least 1500€ in total, and most of the time 2000€. If you need more time like I do, 2500/3000€. I like when my mother is telling me she had to take the exam 5 times so she could eventually obtain it, while 35 years ago it was way cheaper, and you hadn't to wait 6 months in order to have another exam in case yo uwould have failed it even once.

When I passed my test around five years ago, the real cost for me was insurance for teenagers. The cheapest quote I could find was in excess of a thousand pounds (1250€), and this was at the time for the oldest, smallest, shopping trolley vehicle you could buy.

In the UK they have recently declared that insurance companies can no longer 'discriminate' on grounds of gender, meaning girls and boys now all pay similar rates (which has obviously made things eve more expensive). Apparently, it is okay to be ageist and classist, but to be sexist is a no-no.

In retrospect I should've waited until I was at least twenty, just because of the insurance premiums. That would be my advice to anyone here thinking of driving - only do so if you're sure you can fund it.

@saer: I was busy with school and my projects and music and stuff. I don't care for school other than the music part anymore, though.

Well when I start diving again I'll be at least 21, so that should definitely help with the insurance quotes! Anything in the teens, gets pretty scary!
