Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros. - VOTE Rayman

UPDATE: Ubisfot confirmed that on Tuesday the company will make a statement regarding this.
A source would be nice to corroborate that statement.

That specifically says that Ubisoft is "Looking in to it", and that they're going to "Release a statement on it", not that they're actually gonna announce anything.

They're preparing to explain us how they wanted to include him, but why there are reasons it's not going to happen.............................................

Edit: Or tuesday was going to be the day they were going to reveal it anyway... but it's not going to be that... or if it is, the moveset is going to be utterly disappointing........... I mean just think about this... it's too good to be true............

What sort of Rayman content can we expect if the leak is genuine? I haven't played the Smash games much. I assume there will be one stage based on a Rayman location, and maybe two or three pieces of Rayman music to choose from? Somehow I doubt we're going to get a Band Land or Hall or Doors stage. It'll probably be a generic forest with elements from each Rayman game.

Hey, remember when people tried to disprove the actual real leak.

Yeah.

EDIT: Okay, even if it is fake, it still doesn't explain why Ubisoft is taking until Tuesday to say anything about it.

Maybe all the positive reactions to Rayman being in Smash will earn him a place?

All things considered, that kind of attention to detail is astounding. Was Ubi in on it? Or is something else up?

I actually found it hilarious that the whole thing was a setup to promote a channel. I'm horrible and I feed off crushed hopes and dreams.

But seriously, that guy did an awesome job in AfterEffects. In another video he showed how he made the Rayman 'model', turns out is was actually a 2D digital painting. He's an absolute master of whatever art program he was using.

Update: A representative from Ubisoft said the company is looking into the situation and will make a statement on Tuesday.

Hmm, that statement could mean anything, to Ubi's confirmation, or them investigating the usage of their IP. For the time being, I think it's back to skepticism for me.

If it's true that this is a fake, then the guy did an incredible job in making it look as authentic as it does. Not going to say concretely that it proves it's fake, but the video evidence he gave is quite damning imo. And if his plan was to promote his channel, it sure as hell worked either way, lol.
