Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Sometimes keyboard is way better than pad, example, take this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFmXoUBOXZs
My brother cutted a bit of his hands to shake the joysticks to beat me, on PC CTRL right and left is way more easier xD

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
There are some mini-games that become easier if you play in a keyboard, and viceversa.
Despite of the secondary effects that the game gave to the Rayman franchise, back in Wii release it was a fun game. But then, it reached a point that the game wasn't really fun anymore and stopped playing the score mode. It isn't really worth the time to play the score mode since the RRR HOF is closed for some years and it is impossible to get perfect scoring in everything.
I personally liked the RRR2 mini-games a little more, but it is a minor difference. I also like some of the costumes that Rayman can use in this game, like Dracula and Tarzan. At least this game is fully completable.
Now RRRTVP is a disaster and clearly a cash-in title. It was one of the fewest games that supported the Wii Balance Board but it is not worth buying Wii Fit just for that, unless you definitely want to play Wii Fit/Plus/U. There are lots of control glitches that I honestly don't know how they passed the quality control/by the testers, if there was any. Thanks to these glitches, fully completing the game is an herculean task.

I took this photo many weeks ago when I passed by a café:

I wonder if this promo is being done in other countries of Europe.

I used to eat Chipicao all the time as a kid. There was also Pokemon album for it, it sold like crazy here.
Never saw this Rabbids promo though, nowdays I only see regular ones without anything special

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
What's your best score at "Bunnies Don’t Sleep Well" on PS2? (minigames scores differs per version on some minigames) I can't get anything moar than 34 seconds lel
Also, is it normal I can't get 1000pts on some minigames? I mean, I'm pretty bad, but some minigames are like impossible to get 1k pts lel

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I do not touch my copy for almost 2 years(who still plays it?) so I do not remember. I would onky start the game over if a RRR HOF was implemented here.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Does anyone else think Rayman Raving Rabbids actually has a bit of a decent story? Sure, the game is a minigame collection, but I quite like the idea of Rayman being held captive, only to become a celebrity of sorts among the Rabbids while secretly developing an escape plan. Of course, it's not fleshed out very much, but I actually think that the plot of this game is handled better than the one in Origins, and I have no trouble including it in my personal headcanon. Go figure.
I understand if people disagree with me, but I just thought I'd give my honest two cents now that the "grr Rabbids HATE" vibe has been dead for several years.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I thought it was unique. Kind of reminds me of The Hunger Games and Deadman Wonderland. I always thought the Rabbids were controlled by Black lums. Kek.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I remember a long while back we discussed that the Rabbids have a bit of an aggressive, slightly creepy vibe, making the humour a bit darker than everything that followed it up. The scene where Rayman realises the Globox kids are still trapped with the Rabbids gave me chills back in 2006.
Really my only complaint is the ending. They painted Rayman as a dumbass who didn't even remember to save the fucking kids. My father and I both thought it had to be one of those games where your performance influences the ending, but after a couple tries we took it to the internet only to find other people who were confused and disappointed by the ending. It would have made sense if it was to be followed up in the sequel, but we all know how that went down.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
The sequel could have had an interesting plot too. It just needed an ending. But yeah, the Baby Globoxes were a huge loose end.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
The story was decent. Nothing much else to say.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
It was decent, given it was a minigame collection, though it did paint Rayman in a less than capable light.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I agree with this. It feels unrewarding somehow. Rayman normally wouldn't forget such an important thing giving his altruist personality. It doesn't make sense.Keane wrote:

But to say it was handled better than Origins, now that's insulting.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:Does anyone else think Rayman Raving Rabbids actually has a bit of a decent story? Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Not really. Did you think Origins had a good, well-executed plot?

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I mean, the plot for Origins is decent, but I kinda had to visit RayWiki to actually know what it was after completing the game. I'm surprised they didn't take the opportunity to add in a few cutscenes. Nothing big or serious, just a few short, wacky clips that could have made the plot a little clearer and given the characters a tiny bit more personality.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
That would have been nice. And the UbiArt games could easily pull off the "silent" cartoon formula.Keane wrote:I mean, the plot for Origins is decent, but I kinda had to visit RayWiki to actually know what it was after completing the game. Also before anyone else says anything, Rayman 1 is the same as Origins/Legends story wise. Both have only the opening and ending cutscenes. Though, 1 and Legends tell what's happening better but all three still have underwhelming endings. Except for Legends because of its Butt Orchestra.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
The intro of R1 makes perfectly clear what you need to do in the game, at least I did not suffer temporary amnesia like when I arrived to RO's Gourmand Land. "Oh, what I was suppoused to do? .......... Was it related with the night-Oh yes, returning Bubble Dreamer's sanity." At least in RL they also made the intro clear.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Not every copy of Rayman has an intro though has it? The several copies I've played didn't, at least.
