I mean, Rayman 2 took, what, 2-3 years of development? The dude's been working on BG&E2 since before 2008, and is even upping it to next (current) gen. Usually an incredible amount of soul is poured into a game when it's development is that long. Any normal dev would have scrapped the project by now, but Ancel is treating it with a serious passion, like it's his life mission.

And like I said, it was just a light claim. I didn't mean it in a "He absolutely loves BG&E miles more than that abortion, Rayman" kind of way, more of a "He's been working a lot harder on Beyond Good & Evil so his focus may be shifted" kind of way.

I never said Rayman wasn't creative, in fact, I said the opposite. Rayman is literally Michel Ancel's creative getaway.
It's kind of hard to tell how Ancel views Rayman tbh. Origins seemed like it was going to be making a bit of comeback to a type of Rayman we haven't seen in a good long time, while also putting a fresh twist on the series.

The final product is only that fresh twist. Although it does make sense to decide to cut a reboot from ties with previous games, I feel like either this was done to potentially make Rayman more profitable, or it was just a very late decision. Either way, I find it hard to tell how much Ancel liked the concept. He definitely seemed extremely involved and enthusiastic about Origins, but I find it hard to imagine that he was willing to just scrap big story away and replace it with "yea the magician is bad now but you dont really know that until the last 15 minutes of the game lol"

Twist or not, he did end up going on to make Legends, I doubt he'd have done so if he weren't satisfied with Origins at the least.

Anyway, if anyone wants to try UbiRay in the PC version, just send me your save file (make sure to copy it to someplace else as well, just in case) and I can edit it for you to have him enabled. 8)

Also, be sure to have "default" Rayman equipped in your save file.

I wonder why the heck do Hungarians call it "Pendrive" if it has a name already and our version is not a native word either.

Hmm, I hear "Pen Drive" quite often here too, alongside other terms like "USB Stick."

Would a 8 GB be good enough?

Well it depends on how much space the save file needs.
Probably. :)

I see. I'll try and do it today. As I said, I hope some here has the Assassin Ray skin and the Avelina skin.

I can only access the 360's file structures, nothing else. I have no experience with PS3 or Wii U file editing.
I checked the skin advertises and according to what I have found you seem to have the Splinter Cell skins, am I right?

Ah rats, I did have Assassin Ray on my PS3, but that's been sold on a few months back.

Yes, I have the skin. And crap, I really wanted to have both the PS3 and Wii U exclusive skins. Mostly Avelina tho.

Have we confirmed that the skins are actually on the PC version? We know UbiRay is accessible, but he was present in all versions if memory serves.

You're right about UbiRay. But I had the thought that all exclusive skins were distributed by the U-Play service.

I can't remember from the top of my head, in honesty. I thought it was via their respective storefronts (PS Store, Xbox Live etc.), I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Nope. The sheer assumption that the others are MAYBE in the PC version as well comes from the accomplishment of having UbiRay enabled.
Still, we will never know if we don't give it a try at least.

Very true, I guess this is a sort of expedition that we're undertaking then.

But I'd still like to modify an existing skin like we could with Origins and Textmod.

As far as I'm aware UbiRay could be obtained normally with an activation code and the same goes for the exclusive skins as well. Despite this fact UbiRay's files were still in the game which leaves the possibility of the others' existence as well.

To Adventure! :yeah:

Remember how the PC version got no bonus pre-order exclusives? Would've been pretty cool for some valve exclusive costumes.
