Jesus christ this series spiraled out of control, it just needs to be put out of its misery. Though I do respect the developer, Scott Cawthon, he took a lot of the money he made and donated it to a good cause. I just think the series has gone to shit. The first one, yes you can argue it's stupid, and imo it was, but it had something going for it. The FNAF fanbase is also really awful, making up all this nonexistent lore to fit the way they view FNAF. How this is going to be put into a full length movie is beyond me...

Where the fuck is the Minecraft movie now!?! If this fucking series can get a movie anything can go. I agree with Ad, but you know the fanbase is gonna eat this movie up.
 
I think Scott is trying to become Uncle Scrooge The first game was good. The second didn't really turn out what everyone was expecting and the third one is just sloppy shitty boring and unfinished. And yet Scott decides to make a movie? This fucking Fanbase is nothing but YouTubers trying to be scared and Little 7 year olds that probably dont even have the Damn games! Fuck FNAF now. They fandom can smell my ass.
 
Meh, while I do find myself at odds with how this has turned out, I can't deny that I'd not have done the same thing if I were the creator. This is one heck of a financial opportunity he's gotten himself, and given the amount of people who've consumed his material willingly, it could very well turn out to be a fine investment.
 
Game movies that are confirmed before they've even started on it are never legitimately confirmed it seems - I've seen so many supposed film adaptations never get mentioned again, and it wouldn't surprise me if by the time they plan to start on this they feel like the hype for the games has already died out too much. (And thank god it is because I've yet to see a level of cringe that can top fanart of Fnaf that's not R34 but you can see that they tried to sexualise these characters)

I liked this part of the article though:

Right, a game with jump scares and flickering text will absolutely pave the way for a great gem of the genre. A horror movie that can at least make it to 50/100 on RT is more than rare these days, but I'm sure nothing can go wrong here...
 
I'm sure all those spooky jumpscares outta make the movie millions though. I can see the reviews now.

Thats true, Only some of it like fazboggle is what i like. But most of the fandom is shit. For example. OOHH FREDDY X FOXY OOHH SEXY RULE 34 EVEN IF THERE ARE DEAD CHILDREN INSIDE THEM OOOHHH. And the 8 year old fanboys. scoot maek a fanf 5. And if you say your opinion on the game they will act like this. OMG FANF IZ BEST GAEM EVR U R GAY BUTHOEL I FUKKED UR MUM GO DIE. Honestly the kiddies I don't really mind, Minecraft became cringy too when 10 years old started catching onto it.
It's more just this sort of endlessly obscure teen fandom that surrounds it. At least with Undertale and Homestuck it's tumblrinas who just enjoy those games and draw some art for it, but FNAF is attracting like...the kinda people who unironically post on minion-yaoi.

I dunno if these people are like a commonly known group or something, but I do remember 4chan dug up an FNAF blog and it was just this strange combination of weird art, strangely gory fanfiction, and just tons of casual discussion about the weirdest fucking fetishism. I guess it doesn't hurt anyone but I hope the kids attracted by a PG horror game aren't accidentally ending up in someone's fetish dungeon of robotic bear cocks. (considering the terror you get by just searching the game up without a content filter)
