Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros. - VOTE Rayman

Hmm, given Rayman's attacks would link in to his limblessness, perhaps Kirby might also end up having blobs floating beside him instead of his arms.

That ability hasn't been acknowledged in a Rayman game since R2 so I highly, highly doubt it would be utilized in Smash Bros.

So you're saying to have as little of Rayman 2 representation as possible if Rayman were to make it into Smash? Fine with me. I do prefer my Betilla idea. *swoons*

I think it depends of the neutral special move (B) of Rayman, if it's the "shooting spheres" from Rayman 2, I think that Kirby wouldn't need to be limbless (his hands) but if his special is the "Charging punch" I could see that happening.
 
Throwing magic spheres is something that should be saved for Rayman's custom move. His signature attack is the telescopic punch, and that should be his neutral B attack.
 
Custom specials are all variations on generally the same move idea, not completely different moves like the graphic implies. Also, if by some miracle this actually happens, I'd hope we get a different idle animation; the brainless hunched-over look irks me tremendously.

I hope if he does get into Smash his animations are related closely to Rayman 1,2, or 3 rather than Origins or Legends.
 
I doubt they do that. Though, I should really get back to drawing my version on Rayman's possible moveset, stages, and more.
 
Welp, it could be worse for Rayman. Apparently, he's the 5th most voted third party character. That's what SSB Central is saying from their poll.
 
Yeah, but the candidates who are ahead of Rayman seem very unlikely to get in. Like by a lot. He's got it good!

Also, I just learned that DLC characters don't get custom moves. Fuck.

True and true!
1. Good golly. I don't want to be a jerk about things, but I feel like laughing when I see all those people vote for Chrom, Waluigi, Bayonetta, and all those other ridiculous choices.
2. That killed a little joy in me. I found this out when we got the Mewtwo DLC on Sunday. I was mostly disappointed because I was already thinking of how his normal b could work when it comes to custom moves.
 
Of course they want it. Now the only thing is if Sakurai will want to add him. This is why people need to vote for Rayman.

In all seriousness Rayman's chances have been skyrocketed b the smashified 'leak'.
He's in a better spot than he ever was. :)

Meh, never really cared for using custom moves in a serious battle. I usually only use it in Smash Run and Smash Tour, it's just worthless to me in real battles (I don't think they're allowed either in for Glory), so I don't see it as a huge loss.
 
Maybe because Rayman Legends is a Wii U exclusive in Japan, but I don't think that Rayman Legends is the first game that Nintendo publish in Japan.

And well, you know the Rayman trophy was presented in Miiverse the same day that we were going to see the New Characters' trailer, so Sakurai trolled us, but why did he put The Rayman Trophy the same day that the trailer with new characters?
