So you get that boring ting sound effect. Damn. Find a way to play the PS1 version.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Maybe one day.
Currently configuring my New 3DS XL. It came with Majora's Mask 3D, but I won't be touching that until I beat Ocarina of Time 3D.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Cool. The New 3DS XL is fantastic. Despite the really cool addition of being able to view the 3D at any angle... I still didn't find myself using it a lot.
It's really excellent using that analog stick for Majoras Mask though. I was hoping they'd add it for Ocarina of Time as well, but sadly nothing.
That's cool you're playing OoT also, always excellent to play the games in order. How far are you? Are you going for 100%?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm still in the beginning of OoT, work has hindered my play time. Barely got to Death Mountain to get the Fire Spiritual Stone. I'm not going for 100% for my first playthrough, but I'm having fun nonetheless.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea. I highly recommand that you play this game. Not for its gameplay, but its story, nice ambience and adorable graphics. I love it. However, the game is pretty... gory and unsettling at some point, so I wouldn't recommand playing it if you're really sensible to those things. I just got to a part that is disturbing as fuck.
Mother 1, or Earthbound Beginnings. I have played Earthbound and Mother 3, and I loved both. The first game was the only one that I hadn't played, so when it became available on Virtual Console, I just couldn't pass up this opportunity. I already have 3 melodies out of 8 in my possession, I didn't know this would be that quick.
Freedom Planet. A real nice Sonic-like game.
Bravely Default. Farming in this game is hell, I'll tell you what. My progress was extremely slow just because monsters don't give enough xp, but I think I've found an ideal location for farming. I have found my promised land.
So, yeah... I'm currently playing all four of these games, and I hope to finish them as quickly as possible... 'cause other unfinished games await me on my list. ;w;
The satisfaction at the end will be priceless, though. Especially for long games such as Bravely Default.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
As I said in the you game earlier, I think, I've been playing a ton of Terraria on my Vita, and I got much further in it than I ever did in the pc version, actually I'm at the end game of pre-hardmode with only the wall of flesh left to beat, just failed my fourth attempt and now I,m gonna need to spend a few nights farming fallen stars for my star cannon, which is kind of annoying.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Hell yes. I've beat both Earthbound (actually own on SNES), and Mother 3 (played on Phone). Mother 1 or Earthbound Beginnings is the only one I have not completed and I've heard it's the hardest of the bunch. I heard the GBA port added an easy ring, but I'm not sure if they did any of that in Earthbound beginnings. I'll definitely need to buy EB beginnings when the time is right.Sigmundberg wrote:Mother 1, or Earthbound Beginnings. I have played Earthbound and Mother 3, and I loved both. Re: What games are you currently playing?
I didn't even beat Mother 1 yet, but Mother 3 is just the best of the trilogy in my opinion. Seriously, this game has one of the saddest and most beautiful stories I have seen in videogames. Yes, I have cried at the end. But those were manly tears, I swear.Rayfist wrote:Hell yes. I've beat both Earthbound (actually own on SNES), and Mother 3 (played on Phone).
I couldn't say either. I got my ass kicked several times by enemies but besides that, I didn't encounter any real difficulty yet (especially since not losing your money is very easy), though I'm only at the beginning. I guess it's going to get real tough later on.Rayfist wrote:Mother 1 or Earthbound Beginnings is the only one I have not completed and I've heard it's the hardest of the bunch. Re: What games are you currently playing?
Mother 3 better than Earthbound? While I think Mother 3 excelled in story, it really lacked in exploration sadly. That was one big letdown for me. Mother 3 was set on a linear path and divided into 'chapters'. One thing I loved about Earthbound besides it's simplistic story was being able to explore all the huge areas. Mother 3 did improve on the battle system a little too, with the whole 'rhythm' thing. Though I hear what you're saying about the ending of Mother 3 with Claus and all, that was indeed a sad ending. Plus they took the whole rather eerie feeling of 'aliens' from Mother 1 and 2 out of 3. There are still some odd enemies you face, but nothing extremely outlandish compared to Mother 1 and 2.
I always just put the money in my bank on Earthbound. Are you able to do this on beginnings as well?Sigmundberg wrote:I couldn't say either. Re: What games are you currently playing?
Yeah, I get what you're saying. But that's precisely because of those "huge areas" that I often wouldn't know where to go and what to do (thus getting lost). Maybe you fared better than me.Rayfist wrote:Mother 3 better than Earthbound? While I think Mother 3 excelled in story, it really lacked in exploration sadly. That was one big letdown for me. Yep. And instead of directly gaining money from battles, your dad deposits money on your account, just like Earthbound. That's really convenient.Rayfist wrote:I always just put the money in my bank on Earthbound. Are you able to do this on beginnings as well?

I f*cking hate that part in Earthbound where paula gets kidnapped and coffee cups come up.
Luckily I already have beaten the game 2 months ago. And that final boss, just no.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'll definitely need to buy Earthbound Beginnings soon... just been overwhelmed by my backlog lately.
@CHRdutch
Yes, that mall area really was eerie. I REALLY loved the eeriness of Earthbound and if it weren't for things like Giygas being introduced to me I probably wouldn't have checked the series out. It really peaked my interest. Everyone on this forum who plays Pokemon needs to play Earthbound.
Anyways as of currently I've set my primary focus to Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. This is my first time playing the original Xenoblade... honestly wish I got the Wii version instead, the 3DS version while still beautiful as ever really looks bad on 3DS. I may just emulate the game on Dolphin if I'm to ever do a second playthrough.

@Rayfist
I think I'm also gonna give Earthbound beginnings a shot. The only difference is that I'm gonna play it on a NES emulator...
(Just like how I played Earthbound on SNES9xGx Wii because they decided to not release the game in Europe
)Also, I don't have a SNES. (yet)

Toontown Rewritten. I salute those makers of it keeping the nostaligasm alive! The game is hell lot of fun; it looks childish but believe me when i say it makes a looot of fun playing with pals
