Funny how Machinima partnership users are not affected by this and they are immune to all Nintendo claims and they can both profit and upload with no issues. Take cobanermani456 for example. Now I am not talking negative about him and I congratulate him for being able to upload Nintendo content how much he wants and earn money from it, but it is really unfair how many others can't. Bottom line, Nintendo needs to take lessons from Ubisoft and Capcom when it comes to uploading policy.

I think it's also important to note how they legitimately don't understand their audience.
The Gamecube was sort of for the hardcore gamer, and the wii was initially designed for the casual gamer, but the wii U? They have no specific audience aside from fans who have been playing Nintendo since the 90's, which is fine and all but it will scare away a lot of newcomers to Nintendo.
Also it makes me cringe when they post memes and upload a Game Grumps video to their channel in an attempt to garner an audience.

I guess it's kinda hard for them to find that right identity though. They're dead in the eyes of "hardcore gamers" and I don't think they'll appeal to that audience anyway, but they can't really be the "games for everyone" company either now that the Wii U is much more based around actual gamers.
But right now I can't help but feel like Nintendo is pretty bad at hiding how obviously their marketing department is being run by middle aged people going "this is what the internet likes, right?!". I mean I don't mind and in some ways I can appreciate their amateurish feel, but it just doesn't sell.

Honestly, the Gamecube did a lot of things right, it was just at the right place at the wrong time. The ps2 was a beast and stomped it, mainly in part to it's superior third party support. I personally think they should go the Gamecube route with the NX only make it a huge focus on getting that third party back.

The fact there was no Portuguese Nintendo office yet made it even worse so the decision of the distributor of the time to face up low GC sales was... to remove games from shelves. Although I like Nintendo a lot, I do think there are many things that they seem to live in stone age. A good example is what you guys are talking about YouTube. I mean, shutting down gameplay videos? Shutting down free publicity?! Do you want better than free publicity, guys? I really don't think they are aware of the crap they are doing, honestly.

Well from the business perspective he's certainly qualified, but I also think there's a lot he'll have to do, such as smooth over customer relations (especially on youtube), boost the Wii-u's end sales, maybe find some way to fix the mess that are the E-Shops, as well as assure that this next generation of gaming doesn't start as rocky as the last one.Bradandez said:

lol something tells me "creative fellow" means he's just gonna be sticking around and joining in on some cool projects here and there.
Not to mention that he's basically the most iconic face of the company now, and I think they place a lot value on giving Nintendo a familiar feeling with all the well known folks: Reggie, Iwata, Miyamoto, and I feel like they're slowly starting to introduce Bill Trinen to that club as well.

Is anyone even really looking forward to that game? I'm not a Starfox fan myself, but the general reaction has been really underwhelming, like most people either dont care or just treat it as an ok game that's hopefully better than any demo they've seen.
