Shame they couldn't get the CD part to work otherwise that would have been amazing. But to see it actually working even with SNES carts is important enough.
The irony is that the PlayStation's roots are from a joint venture between Ninty and Sony. That prototype was part of said joint venture, before Ninty broke the deal with Sony. Intriguing, that by doing so, Ninty created one of its biggest competitors, one that subsequently put them down for the next two generations.
Part of me really wishes that they'd reconcile, I'd love to see what Sony and Ninty could do as allies.
