Rayman Adventures

I'm on adventure 9, not sure what you mean. But the levels are all way too easy still.

Also I played every level so far twice, once with Rayman and once with Barbara each time.

Thanks for keeping us in the know and listening to our feedback, Mya! Hope we're not doing your nut in too badly!

They're frustratingly hard for me. At least with 100% completion. Otherwise, it's ok. Remember, it's a mobile game. It's supposed to keep things short and simple. Sometimes I want to destroy my smartphone because I'd really love playing Adventures with my controller.

That's a huge amount indeed. Any idea how much of that you won't have to pay thanks to the gems earned in a single playthrough?

No idea, the game seems to go on indefinitely, with levels being chosen randomly with each adventure you start, so in theory you could play the game and earn everything in it wittyout paying a single coin lg your money thats better spent elsewere, but if you do plan on doing that, see you in ten friggin years because thats probably how long its going to take you by playing the game to unlock everything without paying a penny as at least in the early adventures you only earn 5 gems per level and even then you have to perfect those levels to get the full reward. which is hard as hell because its a precision platformer exclusive to mobile devices making precision platforming nigh on imppssible because the controll just isn't there!

And i hate to sound like a song stuck on repeat but this game is awful, Ubisoft titled it like a main entry so im going to treat it like one and call it the worst main entry in the series.

Its the worst game in the franchise, spin offs, previous mobile games, The Original Raving Rabbids trilogy, out of all of them its the absolute worst by a longshot.
And it hirts so much more because theres a good game in there somewere but because its free 2 play, because its developed on a platform that it should not be on in the first place, it falls flat on its face and falls hard.

If you like the game, good on you, i want to convince you otherwise, but I know I probably won't. But do take this intob cobsideration: Don't like the game, just because it runs on Ubi art, don't like ot because its more Rayman, don't like it because you feel like you owe it to tge franchise, like the game because its a good game, but I dont think itd a good game.

I owe a lot to this franchise, I might even argue I owe my life to this franchise, because it offers me an escape from a reality I don't want to deal with, a reality I can't deal with. Bit im not going to like a shotty game in the series just because I feel like I owe it to tge seroes, if anything Im going to shit on ot harder because I know it deserves so much better, oh so much better.

Here's the thing with free-to-play... it's amazing that we can play a fully fledged extension of Rayman Legends for free on our phones... but with those stupid hatching eggs taking the fun away... yeah... there should be a "Pay $60 to make it a full retail title and cut the crap" button.

Aye, I'll be happy to give funds willingly, I actually bought the starter pack with money I'd saved from when I thought Adventure's was to be paid for. I just don't appreciate it when it seems like I'm being coaxed into it. Like I said earlier, Adventures isn't so bad about it, the wait times are annoying, yes, but I don't play it like it's a hardcore title. It's something for the commute. But that's my situation, not everyone's.

I think the problem some have with Adventures is how it's been proposed, wherein it's something more than the simple Running games we've had, but not quite as featured as the console titles. Mix that in with the 20th Anniversary obligation, and I guess some are set for disappointment.

I understand the limitations of mobile, and why a digital d-pad wasn't chosen, but could we perhaps have some zones for specific movements, so to speak? I find it really aggravating how I sometimes end up mixing up moves because my swipes were taken in as a tap+swipe. Having zones or specific areas for inputs might make this mix-up less common.

Oh wow, I'm glad someone did the math, I just took a guess. That is WAY WAY too much.

Yeah like I said the problem with free to play games like this is they are so reliant on people who will spend that £134.96 and more if you let them, while 90% of players are expected to just free load. It's a very devious business model. And even then I think people freeload on principle because they know the microtransactions will never stop.

That said there's a good way to do free to play and it's to cap off everything you can buy, like the original Hero Academy where you can buy extra teams and that's it. Or mobile games where you just pay once to get rid of the ads. But I still much prefer it like Lara Croft/Hitman Go or Monument Valley.

Bear in mind though, that you can unlock costumes by playing through the game and collecting in-game currency in the process.

I will get to the "end" because I'm OCD enough and I am going to call it now that I'll probably end up something like 15,000 gems or even more short of getting the costumes, this is assuming they don't release even more costumes and characters for the same 3000 range in the meantime.

Is it really that hard to just save up your gems? That's what I do seeing as I do want costumes and I can't afford to spend money on these kinds of games. That's why I limit myself with spending my gems and save them until I have enough for what I want.

Btw, if Ubi-Mya is still reading, the Japanese world is coming and I'm very excited to finally see that world coming into fruition, but I do have a question. And no it's not about if we'll get a Princess costume that's dressed as a samurai (which would be pretty awesome), but if any sort of Fiesta de Los Muertos world would be implemented into Adventures? We have all the worlds from Legends except for Fiesta De Los Muertos. And as Mexican myself that makes me very sad. Look at me cry for situation. Boo hoo, boo hoo ;(

Yeah, Ancel's career in general has been something of a disappointment. Such an incredibly talented developer, yet he only ever had the chance to make a few real games before being saddled with this dead-end mobile garbage. While I'm sure we'd all love to blame Ubisoft for squandering his talent, we really don't know who or what is to blame here. I can't help but wonder what could have been if Ancel had been given the same opportunities as Miyamoto, who now has a pantheon of masterpieces under his belt. In an alternate universe, Rayman could be the French Mario.

Sorry, but I really want to disagree on this. I might sound a bit angry, sorry, had a bad day so far.

At the moment, if you want to finish the game without paying one cent, you will finish it in 3 months.
You earn 5 gems when you finish a level, but you also get lucky tickets when you finish to gather a family. There are more but I can't remember it all, tbh.
You can also watch ads to get gems (and you won't get us rich by watching them -since maybe it's what bothers you-, Ubi does not even get a cent per ad watched.).

I, as a player, bought the starter pack, watch ads, and I also swear a lot because this game is too hard and I want to complete everything perfectly. I think it's a great game, and would think so even if I was not working for Ubisoft.
Yes, you are disappointed because you wanted Rayman 4 or any other game that is not mobile. They chose to make a mobile game so the Rayman franchise gets more popular, since mobile is what is trending at the moment.

I want to respond as someone who is not angry that this is not Rayman 4 and that thinks Rayman Adventures is kind of nice game. But I really must be honest. Microtransactions kill this game a lot. Take Team Fortress 2 for example. Thats a game that got microtransactions right and I think each free to play game should follow its concept. None of microtransactions would be issue in Rayman Adventures if it was not for waiting times. Seriousely, why must we wait over 5 hours to progress later on? Most of free to play games do not do things like that. It is more likely to cause player frustration and to give up on game than to spend in-game money. I guarantee that many people who dislike game now would not dislike if the waiting times were removed.

Anyway, I bought the starter pack myself. £4 sounded reasonable for it, though I mostly did it to support the game's development. However, seeing that the largest gem pack (11,300) will cost you a whopping £70 clearly shows that the free-to-play model was pushed way too far. Come on, that's like twice the price of a game like Rayman Legends to unlock most of or all of a mobile game? I'm always happy to pay for a good product, but at a fair price.

I totally agree with you Hunch. I am not fully against idea of Microtransactions but Rayman Adventures just has them too much. We need better prices and no long waiting.

Okay, I played RA and I must say I love it! I was against it first, because I thought of something bigger for Rayman's 20th anniversary, but it's alright! Anyway, I somehow must agree with others, because I think waiting for 5 hours is too much. I mean, okay, you can do other things to pass time, but waiting 5 hours for an egg just takes away the fun. And I think the prices for the gems, like Hunch mentioned is too much. 4€ for the starter-pack is nice but everything else is a little bit too much.

Anyway, not sure if this is normal or not, but everytime I'll try to purchase the starter-pack I get an error "Your order was declined because it was considered high-risk."

A friend of mine got the game and let me play a bit of it, and I loooved it.
