Re: Rayman Classic
It'd be hilarious if this port ended up being just like the DSi port. Well, I would find it funny, at least.

Re: Rayman Classic
So I guess I definitely stand corrected when I said I didn't think this was gonna be an R1 port.
Never the less, I can't stand playing with touch controls but here's hoping it's similar to the Taxman remakes of Sonic 1 and 2.

Re: Rayman Classic
No idea when it'll be released. Could be anything from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours I'd guess

Re: Rayman Classic
It's not showing up for me yet in the UK store.
Re: Rayman Classic
Ok so far this is how it is:
Based on PC version
Not HD I think
Soundtrack is weird as it does not have all the tracks in the words looping like it did on PC
You can have difficulties (unlimited lives, normal or just 1 life)
Controls are fine. It uses an analog stick
It has a lot of achievements
You can have three save slots named Ray, Bet ad Joe (Rayman, Betilla och Joe)
The intro was in widescreen (zoomed in?)
The game itself is not in 16:9 and has borders for some reason :/ It's the same aspect ratio as the PC version I believe
Rayman talk like in the PC version (says like: I'm waiting!)
Edit: YAHOO! THe soundtrack is actually like in the PS1 version! 1 tracks for each phase!!! Btw, it was quite expensive just so you know... Also, the controls are actually quit good!

Re: Rayman Classic
Feel free to update the Rayman Classic article on RayWiki with all the information you have.
Re: Rayman Classic
There's a 'just one life' mode? Who would do that to themselves?
Re: Rayman Classic
I might soon, though I'm not so good at writing wiki-articles :/
New things:
If you keep you fist charging the sound effect will go away after a few seconds. Probably a bug (seems to be the case with all on-going sound effects like the plum-riding one)
The music seems to be only based on the PC versions, so while it uses the different themes for each phase it does not have the PS1 exclusive ones. The music tracks are also very noticeable when they repeat...

No idea... I wonder if you can't earn lives in the game at all then... I'll check it out soon. There's an achievement for completing te game with it though :/ There's actually an achievement for completing it in all modes which mean you'll have to play the game 3 times... Kind of annoyingTHEdragon wrote:There's a 'just one life' mode? Who would do that to themselves?

Re: Rayman Classic
I remember trying to play the game without losing a single life (I would restart the level if I did) and seemed doable until Picture City.THEdragon wrote:There's a 'just one life' mode? Who would do that to themselves?
No worries, we'll correct stuff if required.Carrot-master wrote:I might soon, though I'm not so good at writing wiki-articles :/

Re: Rayman Classic
The game is downloading now.
It's £3.99 and there doesn't seem to be in-app purchases.
Re: Rayman Classic
Gosh, the game is sooo much harder with virtual controls! I'm playing in normal mode and it cost me like 4 lives to beat the first level...
Just lost all my lives to see what happened and it seems like you have 9 continues
