Re: Rayman Classic
I'm happy that the game's coming to Android too, but I'm disappointed it has these old-crappy graphics. I wish they took their time and made the game HD.

Re: Rayman Classic
Ehh, I probably shouldn't be surprised that Rayman 1 would get ported to mobile but at the same time really ubisoft?
...I can't see this being very playable once you reach The Cave of Skops.
Something about this trailer seems... off. The animations are moving way faster than I remember them going, and the audio has this gross desynced and unpolished feeling that I've never heard on either the PS1 or DSi version.Carrot-master wrote:How come you have borders on the top and bottom? For me the leaderboard/achievement button works fine
Edit: Here's the official trailer as seen in the App Store: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hICLhuqolyY
I hear this a lot, but the only problems my copy has are the doubled HUB/Menu audio and 1000th lum glitch that all copies received, and it's frame-rate was much better than any previous version of the game I've played.GOT4N wrote:That's just because you haven't saw it, but RibShark can confirm it has horrible framerateBradandez wrote:Never experienced any bad framerate. Re: Rayman Classic
That is very strange. I got my copy on the day of release, so maybe they fixed it later?

Re: Rayman Classic
Mine too had a very smooth framerate. In fact, I would say it's one of my favorite ports of the Rayman 2.

I still haven’t purchased Rayman Classic. I’m fine with the PS1 version of Rayman 1.
Re: Rayman Classic
The copy I own is digital. I presume you guys got the physical version?

Of course you can. You insert it the same way you insert the cassette tape to listen to music, duh.Fifo wrote:There’s no way an iPhone can run physical media.Bradandez wrote:The copy I own is digital. I presume you guys got the physical version?

But WHERE do you insert it? Where’s the slot for it!?Bradandez wrote:Of course you can. I'm so bad with the virtual joystick I haven't gotten past Pink Plant Woods yet.

Re: Rayman Classic
A game like this performing well on some devices and performing poorly on others is inexcusable.
The game ran terribly on my iPad and there were tile glitches on a lot of platforms (like the slippery music bars and passthrough platforms), especially in Band Land, on the bottom two rows of the screen - they would flicker in and out. I don't know if this happens for everyone, but during the credits, both the credits and menu music play on top of each other. Also, the scoreboards are completely messed up: It says I finished the game in one minute, and it says a similar thing for most other people. The music loops are sloppy too, but at least better than the DSi version. Speaking of the DSi version, it uses the DSi version's sound effect pitches which are so terrible (whenever you land it sounds like an earthquake).
I'll see how it plays on my Android when it's released there.

I'm not bad with touch controls, I only quick jump punches difficult (where you air punch as soon as you jump), which is a necessary mechanic.Hunchman801 wrote:I'm so bad with the virtual joystick I haven't gotten past Pink Plant Woods yet.

What? I first try'd PPW actually, it's not that bad once you get hang of itHunchman801 wrote:I'm so bad with the virtual joystick I haven't gotten past Pink Plant Woods yet.
Re: Rayman Classic
I'm having no trouble with the game at all and I'm currently at Pencil Pentathlon. Though I do find it a bit hard running, making high jumps and to crouch without moving. Btw, does anyone know if the final level has got a name change? GC refers to it as Mr. Dark's Chateau instead of Mr. Dark's Dare
Re: Rayman Classic
Of course I will want to play the game under a controller support, I can't imagine myself playing in a virtual input!
