And the game actually had a 100% surprise which was rather unexpected! The breakout minigame! It's found on the map now.
Cool! Where is it located on the map? Is it the big present in the sky in the top left corner, or somewhere else?
Here:

(Seems like the image is a bit to big, to see the button you'll probably have to open it in a new tab or something)
As you can see it's not really a place you go to on the map, just a button your press on.
And by the way, the Breakout minigame is bugged making it almost impossible to complete :( It seems like you can't move before releasing the ball, so in some levels your gonna fail immediately if your start right under one of those frozen plums as your ball will then directly bounce down under Rayman.

Because Rayman 1 really needed another port.
This port probably is the most logical one. If it sells well, maybe Ubisoft will take a more serious interest in Rayman again :)

Yeah, it did, porting to mobile is a good idea.

(Though I can expect a lot of broken phones for new players)

Ubisoft Brazil changed video description and now there is no mention of Android release at all.

I have been checking the Rayman twitter page and they made it sound like there "might" be a Android release. I believe they're waiting to see how well the iOS version does before they confirm anything, though from what I've heard it's done decently well.

This is only the second Rayman 1 port.
No... It's the fourth. GBA, DSi, Pocket PC and now this.

Edit: According to RayWiki it's also on Palm OS, Windows Mobile and Nokia 9210. SO it's the seventh port I guess.

Just bought Classic to support Rayman, but yeesh... This game looks pretty dated on my phone.

They had Sega's permission to remake those Sonic titles for mobile, no point asking if there's no permission granted to put an effort in.

How does this post relate to anything that has been said? This is literally one of the most unrelated things you've ever written.

No one cares about Pocket PC, and Rayman Advance was from 2001, not long after Rayman Forever, so I don't include it in a list of "modern" Rayman 1 ports.

And why wouldn't the Pocket PC version count? It's got some interesting differences and counts as a port. For Rayman Advance I'd call that a port as well as it came out something like 2001 while the original came 1995. Rayman Forever is not a port, just a compilation.

Ports and compilations are still re-releases, and re-releases are more what's being talked about. I'm not really counting Pocket PC because it's so obscure and unheard of. There is no gameplay video on the web, and only about one image.
