I didn't say it was, but the 'crossover' that might cause homosexuality (say, a boy receiving a little bit extra estrogen at the right time before birth) is much more likely to happen than whatever might cause asexuality. Something very specific has to happen to deprive the mind of just attraction without also removing parts of our hormones responsible for developing the rest of our body, and so on.

With that said, if we assume one or both of these is evolutionary, made to control overpopulation, it would almost for sure be homosexuality due to it being much simpler to induce and have happen at random slow frequency. I don't think it is though, it's only hypothetical.
 
I don't think it is either. Why would nature have any interest in controlling overpopulation?

Anyway, I don't believe any form of sexuality would really be a necessary intend - wouldn't it much rather just be a slight mess up during the creation process?
 
It is a really strange statistic isn't it? I wonder why this percentage is so relatively low.
