Re: Official Nintendo Topic
As always, time will tell. Ninty's ideas can be somewhat out there, like the WiiMote, I think we should wait until they unveil the thing proper before making any concrete opinions.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
The NX is pretty unpredictable, at this point I feel like it's hard to trust Nintendo with putting something big out there again, but you never really know with them. It needs to be something more straightforward than the Wii U (playing already bad mario party with four controllers, a gamepad and four amiibo is a fucking exercise) and less gimmicky too.
Since Nintendo can't really appeal to gamers who'll settle with the classic concept of a console I'm guessing their goal is to now add some sort of exclusive feature in the hopes of recreating the Wii, hence the gamepad and 3D portable games. The problem is that they need to be pretty much killer apps, and not "you can see a menu screen on your controller." I mean personally I'm gonna buy it regardless, but I'm not sure how a second Wii U type console would affect their future.

Honestly thinking commercials, trailers and brand new Nintendo Newspapers plus android and iOS applications could be amazing connection for Nintendo NX audience. There are two newspapers companies in Poland about IT news which have their social media, trailers, mobile applications and newpapers like Axel Springer Poland aka komputerswiat and CD Projekt RED.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Well, guess who finished the story mode of Super Paper Mario yesterday night... and guess who got a mixture of emotions.
Highlight this marked area for spoilers:
[ I saw it coming that Tippi was Lady Timpani once Merlon told the group that she wasn't always a Pixl but the whole Dimensio thing... he's an asshole. Period. After knowing all the story, I grew compassion towards Count Bleck/Lord Blumiere. He was definitely desperate in a way he wanted to finish everything including himself. I really couldn't hold my tears once I saw the couple was going to sacrifice themselves to stop the void. After watching the credits I got so glad they are still alive and happy now. ]
Well, now that I've played the game, I can give a proper opinion. I personally found the dimension-swap ability a very interesting concept and enjoyed to use it in the whole course of the game. It is true that gameplay wise it is nothing related with the original games but in general rule I liked. My biggest criticism is towards some level designs that I found them either too monotonous or too long (the chapter of the magical apples in Overthere was the worst for me). In this aspect I think TTYD was more superior as, putting aside the Poshley Heights investigation sequence of the Excess Express train (I found it long), I always found the levels fun to play. I also do not get why some basic abilities like hammering requires a Pixl in SPM. As for the story, I have no doubts that SPM is much better written. It became my favourite from all Mario games that I've played so far, and curiously enough it is also the darkest Mario story I've seen. Since tribes fighting for resources (the Floro Sapiens needed water to live) until seeing a world by your own eyes that is completely destroyed by a void.
So to resume: I loved the SPM story but I cannot agree with the gameplay itself as I still find TTYD's superior despite of the different playing mechanisms.
And now... I heard from different sources that Sticker Star is something to be avoided.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Well this is almost exactly the same news I brought last week, photos of the nx controller ave.leaked, again, and it looks pretty much identical to the controller in the photos from last week, except its black now, and the pictures are overall a lot more convincing.

Alright, the chances of this one being fake are much lower now, not only because it matches the patents Nintendo filed last year, but colour aside it is pretty much identical to last week's, and this time also coming from a different source, supposedly.
And like I said last week if this is what Nintendo is rolling with then it won't surprise me if the NX ends up being dead on arrival. Nintendo doesn't seem to realise not all innovation is good, this looks atrocious and it frankly makes me sad.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I must say, this is a pretty good job. The only mistake I see is that they could have wait April 1st to make their big reveals. THEN it would have been perfect!

It's because of the recession : very talented people still don't have jobs and must resort to do pranks. Thanks Obama.Master wrote:Wow, these fake jobs are getting ever more intricate.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I hope E3 isn't gonna be coverage of just games they've already announced: Paper Mario, Star Fox, Zelda, etc. Pretty solid lineup, but Paper Mario has to prove it's not a meme that became reality, and Star Fox is leaving me a little mixed (although i'm fairly sure it'll be a lot better than people are thinking). Zelda obviously will be awesome though, and I'm confident the hype will be justified for that one.
TL;DR i just really want a new animal crossing

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
What's wrong with that? Delaying can definitely be a good thing if it's to help the overall product, especially when it's a huge triple A product like Zelda.
Now when you've got a small kickstarter team whose lied to people, haven't given out backed prizes, when the game is CLEARLY complete, then you have a problem. (Mighty no. 9)
Damn, I feel like the Wii U has had a short life span, things have just gone by so fast. Feels like just yesterday I got mine with Nintendo Land and Tekken Tag 2.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I've heard rumblings that Zelda U will also be on NX. Seems a bit disappointing to have stayed loyal to a platform, only to have it take so long as to have it available for a successor platform as well. It's just rumour, but I do wonder if Ninty's taking it a little too slow.
EDIT: Scrap that, it's been confirmed on Ninty's Twitter.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
My best guess is it will be a simultaneous release. It will come out on both Wii U and NX, similar to how Twilight Princess came out on both GC and Wii.
I'll probably get an NX for my next birthday in January in any case.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I'm just jabbing on how much Zelda U has been delayed. This game has been teased since 2011. Nothing wrong with delays as long as the Devs are doing a lot of work for the game.
Also, Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem are the next franchises to go mobile. The AC mobile app is supposedly going to enhance gameplay to a console title.
