Re: Off Topic
This went to the Off-Topic thread to the pun thread really quickly.
You guys making the puns. But I realized that Toucan play at that game.

There was no set up to that, Lochy. You have to have the subject before you go in to a punchline related to the subject matter.

Shit. I guess I am not the best at puns.Bradandez wrote:There was no set up to that, Lochy. You have to have the subject before you go in to a punchline related to the subject matter.

Any Brits (or anyone else) willing to share their voting intentions tomorrow in the EU referendum? For me it's been a head versus heart battle, with head occupying the remain side. There actually isn't a shadow of doubt in my mind Remain will win despite reports and polls suggesting it'll be extremely close, and for that reason I'm voting to leave. My vote will be a protest against the corrupt union, and also political correctness. We'll be better off for staying in, probably, which is good, but equally it's important to add my voice to the protest, so there we are.
Re: Off Topic
I know we are in the "Off topic" but that place is starting to be flooded by politics, don't we already have a topic for that purpose ?

Re: Off Topic
Err...not sure how you came to that conclusion, to be honest. Granted there's some politics being discussed, but this thread hasn't been inundated with the topic, if anything it's meandered through a variety of topics, such as puns, games and other matters.
As for Brexit, truth be told, I don't like getting involved in politics. There's been a lot of to-and-froing between both camps, and I truthfully can't make heads or tails of the matter. I guess time will tell what will happen, but I just hope it's not something we regret.

Re: Off Topic
Shit man, it does seem like a really tough vote to make. I'm not particularly informed about UK politics or anything, but leaving seems like it has more of an "anti-establishment" sentiment that I can really relate to. On the other hand, staying seems like a much safer decision which I'm admittedly swayed by, but I can understand wanting to take a risk for throwing change at the status quo. I'm kinda guessing it'll be like a 52% 48% vote in favour of staying, but I dunno it'll be interesting to see it play out tonight.Xenon wrote:Any Brits (or anyone else) willing to share their voting intentions tomorrow in the EU referendum? Be that as it may, Keane was right with the percentages, it just turned out to be the other way around.
Truth be told, I'm still kinda unsure about all this. I guess time will tell what happens next, though I hear that our PM is resigning. Also, looking at the results, it seems that both Scotland and Ireland were more for remaining. There's rumours aplenty about them possibly leaving the UK, given the difference of opinion.

Re: Off Topic
To be fair, I do feel emotions have been running quite high since the results have come in. Regardless of how the vote turned out, things were going to change, that was the whole principle behind the vote. For the time being however, we're still part of the EU, the process of leaving hasn't really begun on an official capacity, all we've done at this point is make the decision to do so.
Re: Off Topic
I am surprised by result. It seems that young people mostly wanted to stay while old people wanted to leave. Didn't think old people would dominate. As a non-UK citizen living in country thats not member of EU, this does not affect me much (I still could not even travel to UK without Visa even when it was in EU). I congratulate UK people on any decission they made since it was democratic referendum but I fear for future generations who were against leaving. Also this will be huge problem for people living in EU countries that loved to import from UK.
I also hope that there won't be civil unrest in Ireland and Scotland.
