I was doing a TV zapping a few days ago and I caught a scene of Ocean's 12 where I saw this:

A clear reference to this movie was made in the Mansion of the Deep level in one of the last parts of it.

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but I'm really baffled at how Arin reacted during the playthrough.
He's an animator. No. Not only that, he is an ANIMATION DIRECTOR nowadays, so he should know the purest and deepest theory of animation.
While I love his Game Grumps show, this shows that he really doesn't seem to care much about what made him famous in the first place. He clearly knows the techniques employed for the animations in Rayman Legends, and those could make for an amazing conversation, and Danny kept asking him stuff like "Woah, this looks gorgeous, what's this animation style? does it use frame by frame animation" and he responded with stuff like "Yeah, I mean, no... whatever.... *sigh* there's cut-out and shit, let's move on". I know he shouldn't be investigating this kind of stuff all of the time, but he kinda promoted Rayman Legends back then when it was released with a Football contest, and yet he doesn't know or care about who made the game or where was it made. In fact, I'm actually impressed that Danny managed to find out by himself that it was made by a french studio.

As I said, I'm not saying that Arin is forced to know all of this, but you know...

As an animator myself, he was... you know...

... kind of a hero for me, and now he's just a big mouthed slacker...
Well said.

Of course. Even the music is based off the song that was used in the movie.

So... the latest interview claims that Michel Ancel was going to leave Ubisoft right after the development of Rayman Legends, as he currently has a new studio, "Wildsheep", but he was dragged back by his friend Yves Guillemot to work on Beyond Good and Evil 2. Looks like we won't be talking Rayman for a looooooong time.

Well that's pretty much how I imagined the situation in the first place:

- Yves, I want to make BG&E2.
- Oh come on, Michel my friend, you should make more Rayman games now that the Rabbids got a separate franchise! Let's reinvent the thing!
- Fine...

(Rayman Origins release)

- Can I make BG&E2 now, Yves?
- But Michel my friend, Origins was a massive success! We must ride the waves and make a superior sequel, so your fans will be amazed once again!
- Fine...

(Rayman Legends release)

- Can I make my dream game now, Yves?
- Legends didn't really meet our financial expectations Michel, so instead of chasing this dream of yours you should focus on delivering Legends to as many platforms at once as you're physically capable of, also don't forget to make a third spin-off mobile title, so we can get some little extra profit from microtransactions.
- Fiiiiine...

(Rayman Legends Nextgen re-release, Rayman Adventures release)

- How about now, Yves?
- How about no, Michel? My AC-team needs some extra devpower, so you really should help out those guys whenever you can! :/
- How about fuck off, then? Imma leave this place and fund my own place where I can do whatever the fuck I want. :3

(Michel starts his own place with his own projects)

- FINE! FINE! You won Michel, you can do your blasted beloved dream game, just don't leave us for Polokus' sake! X(
- :D

That's pretty neat. If they're doing an advent calendar, might be best to have a topic that keeps up with it here, so we know to nab rewards.

Found some of the exclusive console costume sprites and managed to pose them.

I checked the calendar today and it said on 12/16/16 it will be for PC, unless some change happened.

Eh, I missed the chance to register it for free in my UPlay account. Oh well.

EDIT: Nevermind what I wrote. I forgot that the STEAM version also registers it in UPlay so it would lead to the same result. :oops2:

-Rayman Heroes
-Rayman World
-Rayman Universe
-Rayman Clash of Titans
-Super Rayman Origins
-Rayman Return of Razorbeard (?)
-Rayman Chronicles
-Rayman Adventure
-Rayman Madness
-Rayman Mania

Just saying...

I can get used to "Rayman Origins 2", tho. I't simple but effective.

OMG... I just took a look at this years later. Can't believe they actually took Rayman Adventures. LOL.
Well, it was "Adventure" originaly, but I got it pretty close. Also, fun to know that Sonic took the "Mania" part.

I was about to post it here.

Well... One more port for the extense collection of Ubiports?

I would like BG&E2 to not be exclusive to the new generation consoles. I am begging for a PC port.

As long as Ubi does a decent job of it, and doesn't try to shovel it in akin to Rayman DS or 3HD, I don't really mind. Rayman Legends missed out on launching with the Wii U, and with the whole delay fiasco, I can't help but wonder if it did as well as it could have on the Wii U. A second chance on the Switch is something I'd love to see.
