List of fan-made Rayman Designer levels

The only way that works for me without breaking the links is to save the events, then exit throught the playmode with esc.
Are you sure you have confirmed the links?

Nice levels! Just so you both know, you have the game set to the wrong aspect ratio. I'm assuming you're using Optimum, which with the "original" setting sets it to 4:3 for some reason.

I don't think you change the aspect ratio. Only similar option is "aspect correction," which I have it's box checked.

You have to change it manually in the config file. I haven't used Optimum in a while, but in the GOG version the file is named dosboxRayman.conf. Just edit it and set fullresolution=original.

I don't really see any difference so it doesn't bother me. :oops2:

So there's this guy on Betilla's Garden who is overhauling the PCXs. He added, and edited a ton of stuff to the Band Land and Blue Mountains worlds, and it looks really good!

That does indeed look really good! I'm probably going to use one of those the next time I make a level.

He says he plans to add more to Picture City and Candy Chateau, but not Dream Forest and Caves of Skops.

I wished for a long time now that it was possible for someone to be able to implement this background into The Dream Forest.

Well the Allergo Presto background wasn't in the Music levels, but somehow the people who worked on the Extended Editor was able to get a pinkish coloration of that background. Whether or not it was supposed to be in the game, and was later scrapped, is unknown. If it wasn't, then I assume it should be possible.

Changing the backgrounds in RD is not possible, at least for now. Only thing you can do is to change the palettes of the tileset, which also caused the pink clouds to turn blue. :)

But how could the cloud background get into the game? Only the orange Gong Heights background and Mr.Sax's Hullaballoo background was used in the Music levels.

The background was in the game, just unused. Using it in a level is a simple matter of changing a number in the map's configuration file. ;)

Yeah, and that's the number which Extended RD editor changes. :)

Ah. Thanks for the clearing up. I wonder though, why did the developers take out some of the backgrounds? To save space?

Well they didn't take them out, they are in the game, just not used. So they still take up space.
