TTQ - Season 146 - RayGamer99

You have to be fast enough, taking advantage of the slope at the start of the race and finding ways to get to certain platforms more quickly. What do you say, Dutch?

I've just opened the game and tried it again, I haven't been able to recreate it. I'm wondering if the technique was due to how R2 ran on my older computers. What I was thinking of was this section:

Back when I played Rayman 2 as a kid, I remember being able to have Ly remain on that bridge if I helicoptered over her at the right height. It doesn't seem to work now, though.

With that in mind, I'm going to drop the question and ask a new one, my apologies.
Team A:
Score: 8
Q9 - What's interesting about the level files for the Iron Mountains?

The Iron Mountains didn't have specific names for its files. It used files from other levels. Dutch?

I... Actually don't know this one. I could always check the files on my PC, but it's currently 10PM for me and I have to wake up at 6:30AM tomorrow, and I want to get enough sleep. Feel free to go for it though if you think that your answer is the right one.

I think I have the PC disc laying around my room somewhere, I'll get on that before I do the confirmation.

EDIT: Right, I'll have to go with: "The Iron Mountains didn't have specific names for its files. It used files from other levels."

Well I've been looking online for a while now and found nothing, I even tried emulating the game with a completed save to no avail. So I'm afraid it comes down to a (somewhat educated) guess.

Q9 - In which version of Rayman 2 are you able to refight bosses?

Rayman 2 on PS1

And your guess has paid off! Indeed, Rayman 2 on the PS1 allows you to refight Axel, Ninjaws and Foutch. And Ray502 is also correct, if you look at the level files (which is even easier now and more fanciful thanks to Ad's RayTwol), you'll notice how the Iron Mountain's levels don't have their own dedicated moniker. In fact, they seem to share names with other levels, which makes one wonder...is the Iron Mountains just rejected parts from other levels?

Well, it's been a hard quiz, but Team A is now confirmed as the victors. But, we've still got one more question, let's send off this round with a final hurrah!

Team A:
Score: 9
Q10 - What's different about the Chamber which houses the Primordial Core in the GCN version of Rayman 3?

Team B:
Score: 7
Q10 - What do the beginnings of Rayman 1, 3, Origins and Legends have in common?

You have until 10:30 08.07.2017 GMT+0 to answer.

Well, it's been a great quiz and I'm happy to have taken part! To my teammates, sorry for my slip-ups, looks like they've cost us the game :oops2:
But either way it was no less fun having a chance at team captain. Now, for the final question:

They all start with Rayman having a snooze

It was a great round just like the first one! Great competitor you are Ambi! You and your team played well. But in the end, mine prevailed through the tough battle.

As for the question, I have no idea. So I'll let Dutch take this one and answer it himself for the team, as I'll be asleep when the time limit is up.

The chamber which houses the Pimordual Core is colored blue in the GCN version, although it's colored red in the other versions.

Didn't know you could do that in the PS1 version! As for the current question, Ambi's right indeed. :)

Both are correct, which means we end the round with:

Team A:
Score: 10

Team B:
Score: 8

Commiserations to Team B, you played well indeed, sadly time often wasn't on your side, and Team A triumphed. And so, 500 tings to Team B's members, while the two remaining competitors; Ray502 and CHRdutch are now in the final head to head.

This final head to head will be traditional TTQ, with the answer limits and so on. However, since this is a head to head, a wrong answer while the other player is immobilised will cause the other player to be free to answer the next question, and the current question will be discarded. In addition, since this is the 100th season and I want it to be special, I'll be asking a bonus question alongside the main question, this bonus question can be answered by anyone except Ray502 and CHRdutch, who are competing for a greater prize. The winner of the quiz will take away 2500 tings, and the runner up will have 1500 tings.

So, what remains to be discussed is the timing. I'd like to get this started as soon as possible, so let me know when you guys feel you are ready, and we shall begin.
