Rayman 3

I never understand those classics/platinum edition boxes, they always look ugly and just take value away from the game. A little icon seems like a better idea than an ugly huge border.
Fitting really, usually Platinum/Classic editions tend to be cheaper rereleases.

I agree. It just makes games look cheap.

They'd make more money if the covers didn't look like some sort of powerpoint presentation
Indeedy. That's why I always try to get black label copies.

I'm trying to gather an archive of all the Rayman 3 Demos for PC. I currently have 4 of them, but according to RayWiki there is a demo with part 5 of The Bog of Murk, which I currently don't have. Does anyone have this demo and would they be willing to share it?

It seems Ubisoft is shutting down the Rayman 3 HD servers on november 11th which will disable the leaderboards. Rabbids Land is also having its online features shut down.

Can't remember, but I think they were free of cheaters. There were however not that many on the leaderboards though, so you could get up very high with an average score.

Hmm, if memory serves, wasn't the Lums Race still accessible in the HD versions, but the option to get to it hidden? I vaguely recall Ribshark showing it off at some point.

I think there was a way of getting the code by doing something queer with the leaderboard part of the game, but then it turned out that it screws up the leaderboards so one shouldn't do it. I guess it won't matter anymore, but either way HD scores aren't allowed in our HoF because the 100k-plus-final-combo-per-level limit was lifted.

Press A/Cross to go the leaderboards screen from the right menu, then press B/Circle and immediately press RT/R2 (I think) and you'll get to the Lums Race screen. I'm saying this because although technically this could be used for cheating (codes made here are for the original Xbox version and there's no way of differenciating), in practise there are much easier ways to cheat just due to how the codes work.

I like how The Land of the Livid Dead in Rayman 3 compared to Land of the Livid Dead as seen in Origins is so vastly different. Although I do like the one in Rayman 3. What do you think?

I remember there was a theory that the Rayman Origins version is the underground of the Rayman 3 version, and I'd like to believe that, hue.

On a different note, has anybody noticed how most of the first use of the lazer washing powder cut scenes was rayman dancing with the equipment?

I don't think he was dancing per se. To me, he was more like low-key presenting what's unique about each power-up. Like when he got the Vortex, he spun around and almost (threw up?) in his mouth, that's mostly the effect of the tornadoes he shoots with the Vortex, as the meadowscrews and Hoodlums spin around too when hit. And when he got the Lockjaw, he practiced it in front of the camera, showing its hook.
