Re: The You Game!
<'s recently been contemplating what 4D geometry would look like if it were to pass through our 3D world.
< came to the conclusion that a 4D sphere would look like a sphere coming into existance, blowing up and shrinking into noting; a hypercube would look like a cube popping into existance and disappearing instantly (that is if it entered with one face parallel to our plane of existence) and a 4D cylinder would look like a sphere popping into existance and disappearing instantly (again if it appeared face on).
If a 4D cylinder was to be rotated about its centre 90°while intersecting our world, < imagines it might look like a sphere morphing into an elongated pod shape, then forming flat circular faces on each of its pointiest ends and finally having the curved side flatten into the side of a cylinder.
< is making these assumptions by imagining a 3D shape pass through a 2D plane and applying the changes to a higher dimension, using the 3D analogue of the 2D shape that would be formed on the plane. < is also assuming that the 4D equivalent of a 3D shape contains its 3D equivalent at least once as a cross section (so in the same way a sphere could be imagined as a stack of differently shaped circles pressed infinitely close together, a 4D sphere could be imagined as a "stack" of differently sized spheres pressed infinitely close together too, but stacked in an inpercievable direction that is 90° to the X, Y and Z directions).
More than likely though < is just spouting complete gubbins

Now < needs to get a new copy of Rayman 3. < can't complete the Summit Beyond the Clouds, as the screen stays pitch black after < completes the funkyboard phase.

Re: The You Game!
< says it's not so much of a glitch, more of the disc being scratched up enough to where it won't get past that part (it's supposed to go to the Hoodlum Headquarters cutscene). < has had that copy for 7 years.
Re: The You Game!
< says that happens with a scratched disc, if it is bad enough, it stops certain games from loading
< Was playing Rayman legends to pick off some lums to make progress in unlocking two final characters in the game.
< Still has a long way to go since < only has about 512 000 lums.

Re: The You Game!
This discussion about dimensions and how we could potentially perceive them reminds < of an episode of Futurama where they ended up in a 2D plane.
