Since my last post, I managed to 100% BGE, including all the animals, pearls, M-Disks and even that secret message to Jacques Exertier's brother!

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
Yeah I still haven't played BG&E, there are just SO many games that I still need to play but it's still on my mind.
I have to say though that most games I play I try to do 100%, they all have usually been worth it to get the perfection for me. Though there are exceptions to that...
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
Only when the game is worth the effort which all Rayman, Mario, Sonic and Crash Bandicoot games (and a few more) are to me. It's a lot of work on the Sonic ones that don't save though to get all the Chaos Emeralds which I've honestly never bothered doing due to that reason
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I've played the original BG&E many years ago, however oddly enough I never finished it, despite really enjoying the game back then. The Jonster wrote:Yeah I still haven't played BG&E, there are just SO many games that I still need to play but it's still on my mind.
I'll have to get a Gamecube/PS2 copy before being able to fully appreciate it, the keyboard controls of the PC version never really clicked with me.
I only bother with 100% completion when the game is worth it, simply because sometimes either the reward is not satisfying enough for what's needed to be done or the task of getting to that point itself is just not as fun as the core game.

One thing I didn't mention in my earlier post, if the game I am playing is a game from a series that I love, there is a much greater chance that I will 100% it even if it's not worth it. One example - Pokemon Mystery Dungeon GTI.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
Looks like my opinion has remained the same over 1 year later. I'd love to 100% every game I have now, but there's a few I just can't and quite frankly don't want to put it in the extra time to do so.Ray502 wrote:I'm in between not leaving a thing behind and only completing story mode. My goal for every video game, is to complete it 100%, but sometimes I just don't have the commitment level high enough to complete every single objective. The only franchises I do try the best to complete 100%, are Crash Bandicoot, and Rayman, and more than not I do. Other than those two, I tend to stick to story mode only.
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I did also 100% GTA V on PS4 (Platinum trophy also) and Watch Dogs. Then I completed Watch dogs again on both xbox's and PS3 fully. All achievements and trophies in all console versions of it. Surprise surprise, it's a Ubisoft game
But basically yeah, story mode is what I tend to do and if it's too much effort, I won't go for 100%. However, if I really love the game, then I'll put the effort in and go for everything
I've done it in The Godfather II on both consoles also. It really just depends how much I like a game.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
There are several franchises too, for me, where I will always to 100% everything. These would be the Mario (including sub series) Kirby, Sonic, certain Pokémon spin-offs and a few other series. Oh and Rayman of course.
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
You know, I never did actually properly try a Kirby game but I'm open to trying it out, as it's supposed to be a really good game.
Master will probably kill me for saying I haven't played Kirby yet

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I wish Pokemon was easier to fully complete. Personally I don't mind the fact that some of the pokemon have to be traded, it's the fact that some Pokemon are event pokemon and can't be obtained normally, and that's what discourages me from completing those fully or finding what else is after the story.
Many of the Mario sports games for me can get boring for me also after the main story/objective is finished so I don't always try to 100%those either.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
They're all fun but pretty easy games, it's also enjoyable to fully complete them with the challenge ramping up quite a bit, but with the more recent titles it became a chore to get all of the keychain collectables, so I wouldn't recommand doing that.Steo wrote:You know, I never did actually properly try a Kirby game but I'm open to trying it out, as it's supposed to be a really good game.
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I'm most of the way through Super Star Ultra but I'll be trying out the other DS versions when I complete it
I think it's fun and reminds me of SSBB, though that's probably because my 2 favourite characters from SSBB are Kirby and Meta Knight

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
My favorite Kirby game is, I think Kirby's Adventure so far, though that could change soon, since I'm thinking of going around and playing all the games that I've played in the past again.
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
That's what I'm doing, a lot of the newer games aren't as good or give an impression of it's been done before. Not to say they all aren't good, but I like a lot of the older games more.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
Though I finally finished the game, I wasn’t able to 100% the game. I’m definitely missing some pearls and animals, though I “think” I got all the M-Disks...PluMGMK wrote:Since my last post, I managed to 100% BGE, including all the animals, pearls, M-Disks and even that secret message to Jacques Exertier's brother!
Now that my saves have been deleted, albeit unintentionally, I can try again and grab all the things I hadn’t last time, despite the fact that some pearls will have no real usage except for being pretty in my inventory
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
In Rayman 3's case, I think we're completing it 400%
