Rayman 3 scores

This really isn’t bad at all, your score is already better than a lot of peoples’ current Scores. :mryellow:

I’m still on CF. Mainly bc I’m replaying levels trying to find combos that are long and give lots of points, and the fact that I'm still only at this point in the story since my save got corrupted. :mrgreen:

You should do that :)

That's exactly what I'm doing to try figure out better combos that are easier even if they're not worth as much.

In CF part 2, that jump Maz posted is working for me also if you feel like trying it out.
 
I'm definitely going to try that out once I finish the bl.....on second thought, I'm going to call it the "pure" playthrough (no glitches). :mryellow:

Only 71000 points in CF and I'm at part 4? This is terrible.. :oops2:

Edit: Is it my imagination or will the lone cage in this phase not break when I punch it? Do I HAVE to kill the Hoodmonger Soldier first? Maybe it's just the version....
 
I spent like hours on this level and it still feels like I could do better. :)

But seriously.....am i doing something wrong with this? (Please excuse the fact that I'm using my tester account so I have a strange name on it)
 
That's happening me too yeah. I have to kill the hoodlum then break the cage really fast to get the gems as part of the combo. I have to try CF later again because I only had 57000 at that part :lol:
 
Yeah I too discovered that weird (glitch?) thing before. Like Steo said you have to defeat the Hoodmonger Soldier then immediately punch the cage open. It's not hard to combo the gems if you quickly destroy the cage after the Hoodlum. :wink:
 
I'd wager it's intentional rather than a glitch. The Hoodlum is "protecting" the cage.
 
Another place this happens is on LOTLD. In the tower, if the switch timer runs out then you can't break the cage which gives you the lockjaw.
 
Hmm. I'd guess that's to stop people from curving shots upwards to break it from the bottom level. But it's obviously too effective if you can't even do it from the stairs!
 
The cage is too high to break from the bottom level, let alone the first few stairways, isn't it?
 
I mean the one at the bottom with the lockjaw. You may be thinking of the top vortex one ;)

Oops, I had forgotten there was a cage there again. :P
I guess having to redo my corrupt saves, for the record it's now twice, is making me blank out. Speaking of which back to the FC! :lol:

I'm unlucky today! :lol:
 
Oh speaking of FC I got 29920 on it which is still very low. I have to try at least break 30000 on that one.
 
I think the only place I didn't use it was the start of part 3 but I got a combo for all the pigs and the gems on the way up. I also got 2 of the Matuvu in a combo for about 3000 but I can't get 3 of them :lol:

Even the 2 I got it was to take the first one as soon as Andre's cutscene ended with the combo still active and then kill the hoodlum on the top mushroom then run back and take the second on the wall then drop and take the gems in combo. I tried to get the third one through the wall but I always fail. If I could get it then I'd get a score I'd be delighted with :)

Are you talking about phase 3? There are 4 matuvus. I got 2 in a combo at once, and the other 2 also in combos. With the powersuit.

Edit: You know I never tried getting the third one through the glass ceiling. Hmmm...

I can get 2 in combo but not the other 2. I must be doing something wrong.
