Glad I played such an important though small part in the progression of your Rayman experience! :P

Tbh I'd love to own it some day, although I don't think I'll ever be able to justify to myself the expense or the clutter of a whole new (old) machine for one game…

I don't blame you. I had to pay like 120 including postage for the game, though I got the console for 30 as untested and got really lucky :P

I just have so many consoles that I want to have all of them to finish a collection. About clutter though, yeah I have a very cluttered room due to all of the stuff I have but I guess that's the downside to collecting stuff

Doesn't Picture City look weird when it's red and not pink

The Jaguar version is just so different. Part 3 of Eraser Plains is completely different and I kept dying at that part since it's so weird compared to what I'm used to.

It's gone on the play store too actually, I just checked. I already have it downloaded too anyway.

It’s also gone on the App Store, very strange because Rayman Jungle Run, Rayman Fiesta Run and Adventure are still here ?

It's just called Rayman on my phone now too instead of Rayman Classic.

CheesePudding and Birds said it isn't. It's weird to be gone from both the App Store and Play Store and also be named Rayman. I thought it was always labelled Rayman Classic.

Maybe they just don't want any ports as apps? Maybe that's why Rayman 2 was deleted as well? Also it is weird that it's just called Rayman Now. Noticed that.

So do you guys know that the Jaguar has 2 cages in part 2 of Eat At Joe's and one of them is the PC versions cage location? It's there instead of being on part 6. I was actually missing a cage and looked up a video of Eat At Joe's real quick since I couldn't find it and had played through expecting to see it on part 6.

Of course the search brought up a video from Haruka Tavares :)

So the PS1 PAL version of Rayman vs NTSC has more differences than I would have expected. The PAL version has these spiky balls up high enough to duck under like I always do, but in the NTSC version you can't get under them, it kills you.

Interesting. I wonder if it's related to the 576i resolution…
I think you'd be right about it having something to do with that because the screen itself is taller on the PAL version too.

Notice the PAL screen is taller and you can see how the HUD is up higher too.

EDIT: The Ting placement at the top is also a key giveaway.

Ah yes. This must be where I got the idea about punching Moskito again and again at the top of the screen…

It sucks though, that there are these differences that can change the way a game is played in different regions. It bothered me so much when I couldn't make that jump over the Knaaren in Rayman 3 when PAL users can. And it's rare for stuff like this to bother me...well ever! :?

If I notice anything else I'll report it too but I was really surprised when Rayman yelped and flew into the water on the NTSC one when I played it :P

The Knaaren can be jumped on other NTSC versions too. I have tested that and GameCube NTSC was the only one that you can't if I recall correctly. Even the PC version worked in my tests.
