Scotland is in Great Britain, and British means (among others) relating to Great Britain, so Scots are British. That you do not want to associate with the UK does not change your geographical location. :winkgrin:

A bit like when Brits say they're not in Europe. :lol:

@ Ad: Still seems fine to me. Either way, don't be a corrector. About ten years ago I used to be one for like a week, using red text and everything, but was rightly ridiculed for it. Don't join the grammar police, be a man of the people!

As if that's not what Ad was doing when the quote in question was originally said!

At any rate, in the EU I see bureaucrats being bureaucrats. I roll my eyes, I think they make a lot of stupid decisions. I also think they make some good decisions. I am concerned about the lack of direct accountability of the Commission. But all in all, I still don't care much for the alternative.

Well, apart from the fact that Brian Hayes is from Dublin, the conversation was something like this:
- *Brian Hayes on radio talking about Keane*
- Me: Oh yeah, Keane…
- Dad: Who the hell are Keane?
- Me: I dunno, a guy on PC is named after them!
