Nope, that's just a stupid story the devs made up when they were eating even more paint chips than usual. Those relics are handheld-exclusive and contradicted by literally everything else.

I wonder how paint chips taste like...

The last Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct was at 08/08/18, there's three 8, and there's a 1, 3+1 = 4, so Smash Bros. Ultimate is confirmed to be Rayman 4.
 
Rayman 4 had a secret connection with the Bee Movie via the "See you in rayman 4" in rayman 3 with a quick mention of the bee movie
 
This is interesting: Rayman Origins and Legends are a Rayman's dream, since Rayman is in a deadly coma by a severe blow during his battle with Mr. Dark which he loses, in the first Rayman, so Rayman 2 and 3 are hallucinations that Rayman has after his recovery.
 
I have another: Ly is Betilla's grandmother, Betilla is Barbara's stepsister and Betina is Mr. Dark's niece
 
Rayman is bald and the mosaic story is what we should all go by
