I used to always drive my car everywhere without abandon, but wiht gas prices getting higher these days, I'm more hesitnat to use it. It's too bad that where Il ive it's almost MANDATORY to use a car unles you want to walk long distances toa bus stop.

Ok so as of now I've been to four European countries and then America and about four Caribbean islands. Most recently went to the Netherlands for a wedding. Would like to keep the ball rolling with travelling.

My parents and my aunt loves travelling and apparently I also have a bit of that travel bug. So far outside of my country I have been to The Philippines, Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, and some country in South America (I can't remember the name off the top of my head, sorry).

I have never actually left Ireland before but I have went down to Tramore in Waterford a few times just to get away from here then drink like a mad eejit and spend all my money

I used to also go to Athleague in Roscommon with my dad and uncle to go fishing at the river Suck.

When I was 12, we also stayed on a barge for 4 days (me, my dad, my uncle and one of their friends) sailing along the river Shannon. That was actually pretty nice

With the new responsibilities suddenly foisted upon me at work, I may have to go to Japan in the near future (hopefully not before the new year). I'll bloody starve!

Well, I'm sort of shepherding the development of two products. The groundwork's already laid, so I'm really just "seeing it through" until March, at which point the new Senior Device Engineer (starting in January) will probably take over. This does involve a lot of communication with foundry though, and making purchase requisitions for sizeable sums of money, and all that.

Best of luck with that. I've never left the country and I'd be really nervous about travelling abroad for some reason. Maybe it's just because I never went on a boat or plane before and I'm just over thinking it. But then maybe I'm just like Guinness and I don't travel well

Hehe, well you won't know unless you try, though no rush.

The last time I travelled I was actually a cruise ship that I took with my family as a reunion. We travelled to Mexico where I got a slight obsession for eating rumcakes cuz those we're awesome, and it was the first place i had mexican tequila....and promptly passed out in the tour bus due to taking like a bunch of shots!

I know there was one other place I travelled to on the cruise but I can't name it off the top of my head. I'll reedit this post when I remember.

I like traveling, but usually it requires much money, so I can't afford going somewhere frequently. Frankly speaking, the most expensive things are flights and accomodation. I've already surfed the Internet in the hope to find some useful tips on saving money while traveling. What I really found useful was a list of cheap flights sites, so hopefully, I will travel more often soon. I should say, there are many good articles, but it would be great to learn from other people's experience. Can anyone share saving tips?

Yes, I do. I've travelled cities and towns of Spain (Madrid, Sitges, Asturias, Cáceres...), some Portuguese cities (Elvas, Lisbon, Aveiro...) and France (particularly Occitanie, which cities I have visited are Perpignan, Narbonne, Montpellier and Castelnau-le-Lez). My parents have two cars, one of them is used to travel fewer Portuguese towns and Spanish locations. They also have a camper, which they use to travel many Spanish cities and towns, as well to travel some countries.

Everybody must want to travel to Japan! My sister and cousin want to travel to there, and honestly, i would like to see it myself sometimes, except my weight.....and....money issues, I suppose.

We were gonna go to the Disney and Universal parks and try eating at several cafes like the Kirby one and we chose September hoping that the olympics would have been done and dusted... The flights got cancelled last month and we're still trying to get our money back but have a bit of a way to go.

Oof, getting money back from cancelled flights sound rough. My mom had difficulty getting money back when she had to cancel the trip to DC (which included a hotel I think)

Let's just say I don't ever want to book any flights with Travel Up again. A friend who was gonna travel with us got lucky and got his money back though others are still waiting for months for their refunds. And I guess we should wait until vaccines are safe enough before we even think about booking again.

My favourite travel was to Hawaii. It was very relaxing.

The only time I ever travelled was when I had an educational trip Panama when I was with people in a class getting ready for a Spanish Exam. It was great. I felt free.

It was fun in Panama. I was actually supposed to go again on a trip to Colombia but I was caught on other things in my life.
