Installing Rayman Arena on Windows 10

Is there any way to install Rayman arena on windows 10? Running the setup doesn't do anything. There's ways for M but they don't work with Arena.

Ya, I had the same problem before, and found that Adosolution uploaded the Arena "installed files" ;
But the link is dead now, so asking Adosolution for the files or installing Arena on older OS and copying all "Arena" folders to W10 are the choices.

Further remember that you need to add some old DirectX files such as d3d8.dll into the game installed directory for running tha game in Windows 10 64Bit
that is missing old DirectX function but having only DirecX 11 if it is "as it is".

EDIT;
compatibility setting; RM_Setup_DX8.exe must be Windows98/ME for eliminating "glide2x.dll" warning
R_Arena.exe must be "Windows XP SP2" for eliminating "Please run Rayman Arena setup".

I would recommend using RayCarrot's Rayman Control Panel program, it has a disc installer which I've tested and it works on both Rayman M and Arena, make sure you swap the discs in the order it tells you and run it as administrator though, otherwise the program will get confused and won't install: https://dev801.raymanpc.com/forum/threads/rayman-control-panel-rayman-pc-tools-utilities.25761/

I managed to install it with this but now the problem is the game won't launch even with directplay enabled.

What do you see when you try to launch it?

If it tells you to insert the disc, you need to insert it or install a crack to get rid of the CD check.
Also try running it in compatibility mode, and run it as administrator as well just in case.
Last thing I can think of might be that you need to run the config tool and adjust the video settings...

It doesn't show anything when I launch it.

Did you run the configuration tool at least once? Did you try compatibility mode for Windows XP Service pack 2 and 3 (while running as administrator)? I do remember once having to install some old version of DirectX as well, you could give that a go.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum.

I found this thread from searching how to install Rayman Arena on my pc (Windows 10) since it just came in the mail today. RayCarrot, thanks for the program, which finally installed the game(it wouldn't even open for some reason). Like StormTrooper said, the problem comes when I try to launch the game. I tried everything from enabling/disabling DirectPlay, running DX8 setup, changing compatibility settings which all rendered no result. Has anyone got any updates on this?

What I'm saying is you can disable the disc check so you don't need the discs, which also fixes several issues. In the Rayman Control Panel go to the options in Arena, go to the config, disable disc check and save.

Ok, I don’t see that under options.

It's right here:

Edit: I just realized that if you don't have the setting it's because you got the SafeDisc version (IIRC) which can't be easily modified and won't work well (or at all) on Windows 10. If so I can send you a non-SafeDisc ISO in a pm.

Alright I’d like to try that one out.

If you really want to use your retail CD-check version, unfortunately you need binary with Safedisc removed, since Windows 10 doesn't support it anymore.
Alternatively you can check out Rayman Arena binaries by "ADHDerby" [MULTI3] or "2LonlY4You" [ENGLISH]. Make sure you didn't remove " " while googling these names.
Would be cool if RayCarrot could include these binaries as two separate disk-check removal options in case if previous one doesn't work.

Been trying to get this working on my windows 10 but it seems my disc is a Safedisc one as the option doesn't appear as well.

Tried replacing it with above binaries: "ADHDerby" [MULTI3] or "2LonlY4You" [ENGLISH]
But then it says it cannot find Disc 2 at all, wheter I unmount or mount it. Do you guys have any luck? I am particularly trying to get Arena working and not M because I would like to LAN with friends as well. Any suggestions what I can try?

Just wondering - is it a modified ISO or was there an official release of Rayman Arena (not M) without SafeDisc? If so, where/when was it released?

Rayman Control Panel worked for me. I'm using M though, and it was on Linux, but it should still work for you on Windows.
