Ubisoft Files "RAYMAN" Trademark!

Well to be fair that other news was from a while back when he seen the Rayman statue at a store.

Well, no major company in its right mind would let a trademark lapse, regardless of what they do or do not intend to make in the future.

Well of course, why wouldn't they be in their "droite" mind?

I had actually noticed that the trademark was dead for a while before they "revived" it so to speak, I'm not too clued up on Trademarks but does that mean anyone could have claimed "Rayman" for themselves?

They'd be stupid enough to lose the trademark for Rayman!?

Thinking about it, that we will probably see the next Rayman game after the BG&E2 which is still in the early development phase and will come out something around 2020 or 2021, and after the Wild which will take another 2-3 years (if it will ever be done), plus another 3-4 years for producing of the new Rayman title, makes the current situation "a little" melancholic. In my opinion, the other team would not be so bad if they would do this at the same level as Rayman 3, if the new trademark means anything at all.

I'd have no problem with that either. I even think the scoring element is cool since it keeps you interested in playing for an extended period of time, even if it is stressful at times. :P

Truth be told I think this is just to make sure Ubisoft keeps the rights to Rayman. IP rights run out after a certain amount of time and need to be renewed, doesn't stop Ubisoft from sitting on those rights and doing nothing.
