Yep. I even made that a poll topic once…

Anyway, here you can drive a tractor at 16 but you have to be 17 to drive a car AFAIK. :boon:
Everyone still drives them here anyway, though in fairness, they're clearly stolen.
So instead of stealing from cars like most crooks do here, they actually steal the car there!
I think he meant tractors, but if you think that's crazy, then get a load of what they do up north: steal diggers, then use them to steal entire ATMs, and then abandon the diggers themselves.

Someone went crazy not to o far from me before. He was responsible for helping building something, but then when they didn't pay him for it, he drove a digger through the front of it and started destroying it while others were in there. Lunatics.

Sounds like Neptune with the walls of Troy. Only in real life. Tragic.

Actually, it reminds me of the new kitchen we recently opened in our office. It was supposed to open earlier than it did, but the guys who were supposed to be putting the plug sockets in the wall just started randomly hacking holes in it, instead of going by the regular layout from the drawing. The panel had to be replaced. :boon:

Seemingly the guys who were doing it were over-enthusiastic apprentices. The guy who was supposed to be in charge of them knew immediately that it was wrong. I don't think he charged anything extra to redo it. It was still mind-boggling though, how these guys could have so little concept of order or patterning…

My dad used to work as a concrete driller and he said many people he worked with went through cables or pipes while drilling.

What a coincidence, my dad too! He would always complain about bad workers drilling without care, especially because he clearly marked the spots where they weren't supposed to drill, but they just wouldn't pay attention to it.

I remember grabbing the chalk once and drawing on the wall. Little did I know, my drawings covered his marks, so the workers just drilled at random and ended up going through a water pipe, flooding the room and ruining the fresh plaster. When my dad found out later that evening, he beat the shit out of me with a set of jumper cables.
