Well, I tried 2 different CDIs and 2 different GDIs I had, some PAL, some NTSC, and couldn't reproduce your glitch (nullDC 1.0.4). You must have a really weird rip or emulator.Steo wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2019 12:48 am The emulator or USA GDI file is definitely just glitchy when it comes to the cheat. On the real Dreamcast with my retail European game, I have to constantly walk towards the tree until the message appears. On the Emulator I can just stand near a tree for a few seconds and the message will appear.

It was Redream I was using, but I feel like the issue probably had something to do with increasing the internal resolution.dr_st wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2019 7:10 pm Well, I tried 2 different CDIs and 2 different GDIs I had, some PAL, some NTSC, and couldn't reproduce your glitch (nullDC 1.0.4). Re: Rayman 2
Hey.
So I saw on the cheats section of Rayman 2 that you can trigger quotes about Duke Nukem in one of the levels (example : https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/File:Ray2d ... ukem_1.jpg)
I wonder why the developers put that in because they could have risked being sued lol XD.
BTW someone knows where i can get saves for the Dreamcast port of Rayman 2 so I could use them in an emulator (i use Reicast/Flycast).
Thanks.

Re: Rayman 2
There seems to be some saves for it on some site named blueswirl, but I haven't tried them myself. RaySaves currently only has PC saves, and only for Rayman 1 and 3, since PC of Rayman 2 is a bit complicated. I wonder if emulator saves would be allowed on RaySaves actually, and whether others would find them useful...
Re: Rayman 2
Thanks for the site it might prove to be useful.
I Never completed the dreamcast version of Rayman 2 but I did complete the PC/N64 versions.
The differences between versions is really noticeable for me.

Re: Rayman 2
I have played each version, though I never completed the N64 one. The Dreamcast version was the first one I played, I wanted to play it on the most recent console, and didn't know that Revolution was another version of Rayman 2 at the time. All those differences actually make it worth playing each version, as the differences can surprise you.
The Dreamcast remains as my favourite version of the game after playing them all, it's very like the PC version, but with extra enemies and Globox Village with the minigames. I personally like Isle of Doors, but many people rather the original Hall of Doors.

Re: Rayman 2
Graphical detail is also slightly better in the Dreamcast version in several places, e.g., the butterflies, the volcano in Sanctuary of Rock and Fire. My main problem with the PC version (which is the first one I played and beat) is that there is no way to change the default keyboard keys. They are not terrible, but I'd prefer a different config. When playing the Dreamcast / PS2 versions via emulators I can configure any input I want.

Re: Rayman 2
The only way would really be to take a screenshot using the look mode really quickly, since you'll only have about a second if even.

Re: Rayman 2
I just tried Raymap, but the spawnable objects only have the yellow walking shell.
Re: Rayman 2
RayMap should have everything as it appears in game. You might need to change the animation or mode on the object to change its appearance.

Well, one of our fine modders has that covered: viewtopic.php?t=25320dr_st wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2019 9:50 amGraphical detail is also slightly better in the Dreamcast version in several places, e.g., the butterflies, the volcano in Sanctuary of Rock and Fire. Found the trick – at least in The Precipice 1, you need to select one of the "alw" shell objects and then on the "Object List" in the right-hand panel select the last one, beginning with "[obus]" and ending with "NAVE_10|0x8CC79230[0x0027B750]". Re: Rayman 2
I managed to figure it out just beforehand but forgot to post. It's cool how you can actually set which animation it uses:
If we could remove the black background then Raymap could actually be really good when it comes to getting images of 3D objects for RayWiki. I think it would be good for getting close up images to use at the top of articles as png files. Even with the black background, they could still be useful, but I wouldn't try crop it to use on RayWiki, it's not the same as manipulate the image.

Re: Rayman 2
Well RayMap is just running in Unity. So if you download the local version from Droolie's GitHhub you can change whatever basically. So this might indeed be a good way to get better object close-ups.Steo wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2019 10:06 pm If we could remove the black background then Raymap could actually be really good when it comes to getting images of 3D objects for RayWiki. Re: Rayman 2
Yeah, I'm aware of this, and it's totally awesome, but came about 15 years too late for me, and is a little too specific / cumbersome (not that I think there is a better solution).PluMGMK wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2019 9:54 pm Well, one of our fine modders has that covered: viewtopic.php?t=25320
Re: Rayman 2
I simplified the process of changing the button mapping in the Rayman Control Panel a lot, but yeah, still not ideal and no support for controllers either. Oddly they hard-coded the controls fully into the game, even to the point where the localization file has the buttons in the text (like when Murfy tells you to press A to jump).
