Oh, but still, the cartoon is average compared to other very horrible cartoons I've seen in my life.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
Hope you won't regret it (too much).
Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I only really know the flower scene, but that's mainly because Miles put UbiArt Rayman into the scene. I wondered if it was worth watching the four episodes, but you don't sound very enthusiastic Hunch.
Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I wouldn't say it's a bad show, it's just incredibly bland. It has nothing which makes it seem like a Rayman show (they could honestly replace Rayman with anyone else and it wouldn't change anything). The episodes also focus too much on the gang escaping this inspector and never do anything interesting. There are some fun moments, but they're still rather forgettable. Oh and also every character just feels like a cartoon stereotype which doesn't help it feeling less bland.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I remember the mechanic saying that he was working on his car for 10 years but he was willing to give it to Rayman and co if they could fix it? Stupid. Why would you give your car away if you have been trying to repair it for a decade? Why didn't he just hire someone to fix it
Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I see, I still want to watch the 4 episodes. As for just giving a car away, wow, that guy must be rich.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
Rayman 2000 was originally intended to be a sequel to Rayman 2 and apparently it was going to be open world with houses, cities and roads built in trees. Another cancelled Rayman game called "Rayman Adventures" had a style similar to The Animated Series. I wonder if these games (or maybe they're the same game) were intended to be a sequel to The Animated Series with The Animated Series ending with Rigitoni's defeat and Razorbeard capturing Rayman and starting his invasion of the Glade of Dreams.
The Animated Series shows Razorbeard's origins and how he took over in Rayman 2 and Rayman 2000/Adventures is set after with the cast of The Animated Series returning?

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
It's likely that Rayman 2000 and the cancelled Rayman Adventures were the same game, yeah. As for the rest, I don't know, but I'm glad it didn't happen.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
Imagine if it had been popular and they ended up renewing it for a second series. How badly would that have screwed up the canon?

Could anything be worse than a pig latin-speaking, good guy-turned-villain magician whose name is Ales Mansay?PluMGMK wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2020 10:54 pm Imagine if it had been popular and they ended up renewing it for a second series. How badly would that have screwed up the canon?![]()

How could I forget? I mean, it's not as if the UbiArt games didn't have their share of Teensies already.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I like to think The Magician became a teensie from a spell gone wrong.
Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
Seems like the most plausible explanation.
As for the hair creatures, I really don't want to believe that. He did have have to chase his hair in Rayman 1 during the assembly animation, so they were probably just going by that. The Globox turning blue story also makes some sort of sense since they say he was one of the red wizards.

Here's my somewhat-out-there explanation: viewtopic.php?p=921720#p921720TheAlexinator wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2020 5:20 pm I like to think The Magician became a teensie from a spell gone wrong.
I think the discovery of the unused subtitles where that story begins with "they say" allow us to dismiss that as in-universe fake news.Steo wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2020 5:28 pm As for the hair creatures, I really don't want to believe that. Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I recently rewatched the animated series and...I don’t know why that was a good idea. But I kind of want a voice sample of Lac-Mac saying “Parking, no”.
